you think Rootborn Defense is better then Brave the Elements for this deck?  I like Brave the Elements because it's easier to keep W untapped, and I can use it for offense if I need to (kill stroke).

I am not excited by seeing 3 Elixers of Immortality in this deck. There are better ways for you to gain life. I would consider replacing 2 of those with 2 Ordeal of Heliod. You have Hexproof guy in here as well as Daxos, both good targets for something like that. And a 2 mana investment for 10 life, granting you an extra 13 power on the table seems pretty good to me.

I would also consider cutting 1 Voracious Wurm. Deck also should have Unflinching Courage.

Last note: Thassa does not belong in here. There is 0 chance of getting enough devotion to turn her into a creature, and the Scry 1 every turn isn't really what this deck wants to be doing on turn 3.

really? I have a draft of the deck, and I love scrying each upkeep.  Also..she makes a creature unblockable, which is great for a deck built around gaining life and getting daxos through.  I thought for 3 mana she provides some worthwhile abilities.

Daxos is more or less unblockable already. Drop an Ordeal or Unflinching Courage on him, and even the little guys can't effectively block him. I'm not saying Thassa is a good card, I'm just saying that I don't think this kind of deck wants to spend its third turn casting her with no chance of her affecting the board.

grr, I hate to agree.  I like what she gives, but you're probably right..

should I go 4 Ordeals/3 Unflinching, or vice versa?
              • Adam Lazar | 04-Oct-2013 17:09
I think you should have no more than 5 total between the two, and I like Unflinching Courage best. Maybe add 2 Witchstalkers to the mail for another target for these?
                • R P | 04-Oct-2013 17:22
went down to 2 wurms, added 2 witchstalkers.

That looks a lot better. Almost something I would play. :)

I removed the angelic accords, elixer.  added 4 azorious charm, 1 more simic charm and 1 more fleecemane.  I should have enough removal.  What would you do to this deck?
    • R P | 04-Oct-2013 16:25
I guess my worry with the ordeal was, it gives opponent 3 turns to remove it whereas the elixer can be instantaneous.  But I guess you're right, on a hexproof deck..less chance of that happening.  good idea :)
