    Considered adding Sykward Eye Prophets?
    • GingerDan | 13-Jan-2014 11:12
Too expensive I think for what I'm trying to achieve. Best-case scenario is Nulltread attacking for 9 exalted favor on turn 4, and then 11 unblockable exalted favor on turn 5, at which point I would be only just casting Skyward (not Sykward!) Eye Prophets.

Ah, OK, in the case you probably want to play less control cards and more one drops!
        • GingerDan | 13-Jan-2014 13:03
Do you know of any more multi-coloured-mana 1-drop melfs?
I'm also thinking Judge's Familiar, but didn't initially as it features in my Agent Orange modern deck.

I was thinking more exault creatures, like Akrasan Squire
Acavyn's Pilgrim melf you from G into W if that helps?
And Birds of Paradise is a thing.

Ooo yes Avasin's Pylgrm. Sounds good. I'll add the Akrasan squire as an option too. Maybe BOP...

Interestingly I started out trying to build a bant EDH, and this is where I ended up!
  • GingerDan | 12-Jan-2014 13:02
Bant deck  inspired by yesterday's shenanigans
Open to suggestions on how to trim it down to 60, and any suggested changes

I'd get rid of the Aura's. Removal is so strong in modern, you'll lose 2 cards if you lose an enchanted creature.
      • GingerDan | 13-Jan-2014 12:24
Understood. Will an unenchanted 5/6 creature still do well in Modern?
        • deleted_user_13 | 13-Jan-2014 13:14
Thats a bit of a weird statement that isn't really answerable. Is a 5/6 creature big in modern, yes it is. Can it be killed, yes quite easily. Which would I rather have, an bigger creature due to an enchantment or another good card in my hand and a 5/6. I'd take having an extra card in my hand.
          • GingerDan | 13-Jan-2014 16:25
Heh. It was a weird statement, but you answered it in the most useful way :-)

I'll probably print it all out as a proxy for the next time we play magic and bring it along - then see how it goes in play-testing.
