Notes

Mana Gain: 5/5
Creature power: 3/5
Spell power: 3/5
Removal: 2/5
Flexibility: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

Pros - I have never had a bad initial hand with this deck. It obviously has openings that are better than others, but I haven't found, and can't think of, any situations in which you are completely unable to do anything.
Mana is very abundant and the beasts have good synergy together. The beasts are moderately powerful with some cards such as advocate of the beast, enlarge, and Gruul War Chant, allowing for them to become huge forces on my side. Removal is available mainly through sideboard cards but covers a good range.

Cons - While mana is abundant, there isn't too much in the way of taking advantage of all of it. Beasts are susceptible to removal without much in the way of recovery aside from trollhide. Nearly all of the removal is from sideboard cards, and the deck seems to work perfectly mana-wise without the additional 15 cards, though replacing one of the beasts with batterhorn might help some.
This deck was made with whatever I could find in my collection that was legal in standard play, so some cards may have better options that I simply did not have. The way this deck seems to play as of now causes me to doubt that there are any quick simple replacements I could make to improve the deck. In it's current state it is probably mediocre, however, it is perfect for the way it is built and would require several card replacements to improve. I may come back to this if I find such replacements as I obtain more cards.
