* Desecration Demon, Cast into Darkness + Master of the Feast, Nighthowler, Erebos and Squelching Leeches for dealing with Xenagos.
* Whip of Erebos, Pharika's Cure, Gary and Staff provide necessary life gain against Xenagos' burns
* Master of the Feast should not give cards to Xenagos and is a key card
* Pharika's Chosen for early blocking or for attacking Xenagos' creatures directly with deathtouch
