This was my first draft of the 2015 core set, and I'm happy with how it turned out. As soon as I decided to go red/black, I was immediately passed a Siege Dragon followed by an Indulgent Tormentor. The few white and green cards were last picks in some packs, although I hate-drafted the Resolute Archangel as there weren't many good on-colour cards in that pack anyways. I won all three matches with this deck, and didn't lose any games: The first was a win to me followed by a draw due to time, while the other two matches both went with two wins to me.
There is some nice synergy in this deck, both with Hoarding Dragon fetching an artifact to pump the Scrapyard Mongrels, or to cast Shrapnel Blast in a pinch. Necromancer's Assistant also worked nicely with Gravediggers and Rotfeaster Maggot. Covenant of Blood was a good finisher, and Typhoid Rats or Heat Ray were simple ways to deal with potential threats. Crowd's Favor was also a good surprise combat trick.
