Notes

My approach to blue moon is that patience is key. It can make a lot of big plays thanks to venser and snapcaster mage. Keranos replaced the 2nd copy of master of waves in the deck because it has a bigger impact the longer it stays on the board. You can also fake being splinter twin for the first 3 or 4 turns of the game.

I'd like to add a copy of winterflame somewhere in the board because I think that card is as close to a fire//ice I think modern will have.

I'm currently trying a copy of oona, queen of the fae in my sideboard over the 2nd copy of spellskite. It's hit or miss sometimes. It dies practically when it hits the board if it doesn't get countered, but I still think the power level of this card is insane, and if you're playing a deck that is heavy in one color like fish or burn, you get a lot of the business out of the way.

More often than not, I find myself on a turn 3 blood moon. It feels dirty, but at the same time your opponent probably has a pile of mountains they can't cast their spells with.

By no means is this deck tier 1, but it easily preys on decks with stretched mana bases. It's a blast to play, and things move super quickly. You're more likely to win the counter war because your counters are cheaper if you're reacting.
