First of all, my work is project based - some days I'm good to respond to trades/questions within minutes and some weeks I barely have time to log on. 
If I have time to agree on a deal, I generally ship that day or the next though.  I ship fairly well protected - rigid protector plus sleeve plus paper inside an envelope is pretty much the worst case.  After having one shipment go missing/unreceived I will be using tracking on anything over $15 or so.

Off again on again player since '95, having to sell off most of existing collection to pay off some bills.
Semi-random needs list to fill in some sets.  Going to keep playing standard though, so some of those are of interest whether or not they are in my wishlist.

Trading in person or locally preferred but not required.  I'm *willing* to trade internationally, but the cost of shipping and tracking makes it awkward - it's generally cheaper to just buy locally than ship overseas.
