I started playing around 2009 or so. Duels of the Planeswalkers was what started me playing; my first card ever was actually the promo Garruk that came with it. I've played a lot of Standard, but recently I've become interested in EDH and Modern. I'm mostly looking for what's in my wishlist but it's not all I'm looking for. I usually either look for inexpensive novelties or stuff I can use; if I have an expensive card, and it's not in a deck, I intend to trade it for something I can use some day. Nowadays, most of what I'm looking for a nonbasic lands to help with mana-fixing and the like, and as far as novelties are concerned I have a soft spot for Ravnica legendaries (trying to complete the full set and all)
