Bladewing embraces the graveyard as a source of strength and rebirth, filling the graveyard with creatures who have powerful ETB effects then recurring them to the battlefield for massive damage and destruction

Entering Battle:
The average cost of casting dragons can be high but often comes with additional Enter-the-Battlefield (ETB) effects, ranging from dealing targeted damage to creating dragon tokens

Denying Death:
As a zombie, Bladewing views the graveyard as a resource. Once the yard has been filled with the right creatures for the moment, cast one of the many recursion options available to bring that dragon onto the battlefield - often for less than their usual casting cost!

Worldgorger & Animate Dead:
Casting the enchantment Animate Dead (AD) targeting the creature Worldgorger Dragon (WG) starts the following (optional) loop:
1. AD animates WG
2. WG exiles AD (WG's ETB effect)
3. AD sacrifices WG (AD's LTB effect)
4. WG returns AD (WG's LTB effect)
5. AD optionally targets WG to restart

But what to do with this? One option is to wait until you have key pieces on the board that generate value off of ETB effects; each time the loop occurs each ETB effect also triggers. Another option is to create infinite mana from blinking lands - tap each land before the loop restarts to generate an infinite mana pool, then sink that mana into Banefire or Earthquake (if you can survive it!)


The Price of Power:
As powerful creatures capable of single-clawedly turning the tide in battle, most dragons have a high casting cost. This deck comes with many cost reducers to address this, as well as a few options for cheating creatures directly onto the battlefield...
