Notes

I probably shouldn't have won this series, or at least don't get to feel great about it given how much more effort into honing the deck I put in than Steven. The big one being taking out Ser Grim and putting in Archon of Absolution. Granted it was dumb to have it the original way in the first place since needing double of each color on multiple cards is just such a bad plan. It felt so much better making that switch. I'm not sure why I thought Grim was so good that it was worth the cost. But there was some consideration of Steven's deck specifically that happened (his deck being part white and it going small and wide) that pushed me into making that change (that I should probably have made anyway) which feels a little unfair. Steven's tendency not to sideboard is a habit of his, not a rule, but it means that if he can beat me without adapting his deck to mine, I want be able to beat him without adapting to his. And in the end, the Archon ended up being the lynchpin in winning the entire series. I also added a Naturalize specifically because of his equipment, which never got played and in any other context would be a given sideboard in, but here...

Also note that Steven won or was significantly helped in sad-making ways by Claim the Firstborn.

Also worth noting, this deck was built with the first priority being it needed to be as food focused as possible. So there were less good cards I couldn't pull (Giant Opportunity) that I might have because they said "food token" on them :-)

At least one game had Malevolent Noble and Garenbrig Squire in when they really weren't a good fit. I don't know when or why that sideboard happened but clearly further adaptation. I should be more ok with this since dynamic deckbuilding is helping learn to build better first decks, but if it ends up with me winning all the time because Steven can't be bothered, that's a bad situation.
