    Rec: I'd consider replacing Authority of the Consuls & Blinkd Obedience. BO's black requirement aside, these cause things to ETB tapped, and don't count as actually tapping them, as they never existed in an untapped form. Just my personal thoughts - otherwise, great build, with a few cards I missed in my own!

      Oh yeah, I have them in here because my playgroup HATES those two cards so much. I might replace them with Mariner and Crystal Ball, or a couple more mass tappers.


      Also not sold on Trap the Trespassers, might swap it of for Succumb to the Cold

        I love Succumb, both for the effect and the flavor.

        Ojutai's breath is a good one, as well - the flashback makes it extra spicy :-D

          I think I might take the Authority and Obedience out for Ensnare and Succumb. I needed another mass tapper, and I like instant speed.

            I wasn't even aware of Ensnare's existence, lol. That said, I think Cone of Cold is a better option - your deck is low on creatures, but the ensnare will still hit what you have. Cone of cold is one big, chilly middle finger to your opponents, lol

              The reason I went for Ensnare over Cone is because technically, it costs two mana which can be used to pay for Hylda on the end step before my turn, potentially for an alpha strike. Cone of Cold is on my radar, as is Tolarian Kraken.


              I actually wonder if Kraken would be better in the long run over Junk Winder, even though Winder triggers for free.
