Notes

This deck was purely built for flavor fun. I've had a lot of fun winning and (often) losing with this deck to other flavor-driven or mid-range decks.

This deck was born after I found two copies of Wizards' School in a 10 cent bin at the local store. Since I'd already built a Horcrux themed deck, and since a general Harry Potter theme seemed to broad, I tried to limit this deck to cards that made Hogwarts a magical place. One of the things I love about the early Potter books is that Hogwarts is almost a character in itself. The magical items, unique properties, and interesting characters found in Hogwarts truly make it come alive to me when I read the books.

Nearly Headless Nick, Moaning Myrtle, and the other ghosts haunting the Hogwarts hallways are represented by: Midnight Haunting; Lingering Souls; Phantom General; Geist-Honored Monk; and Twilight Drover.

Hogwarts has a strange staff of professors made up of: Reckless Scholar; Wizard Mentor; Sighted-Caste Sorcerer (Dumbledore); and Scrivener (the Exodus version looks very Slytherin-esque). Even Hagrid appears as the Arbiter of Knollridge, and Madam Pomfrey as Soul's Attendant.

Hogwarts has magic walls like the Wall of Omens. It is protected by Gargoyle Sentinels, and Palisade Giants (at least in the 8th movie it is). Lastly, the Chamber of Secrets is represented by Quest for Ancient Secrets.

A few key magical items that are found in the halls of Hogwarts show up in this deck: The Sword of Gryffindor (Mortify); Tom Riddle's Diary (Curse of the Bloody Tome); The Mirror of Erised (Unmake); and Salazar Slytherin's basilisk (Chant of the Skifsang).
