Description
Get six mana: one of it white, two of it black. (This is simple thanks to Lotus Bloom and/or Pentad Prism) Have Ad Nauseam and Angel's Grace in your hand, or Phyrexian Unlife on the field. Cast them both to put your entire deck into your hand. Your absurdly negative life total means nothing. Exile 3 Simian Spirit Guide for red mana. Cast Lightning Storm. Discard as many lands as necessary to amplify the damage. Win.
The beautiful thing about this deck is that your entire combo can be done at instant speed. For instance if you have the combo, slow roll it and let your opponent tap out for that end-step Restoration Angel and kill them in response. Have that Pact of Negation? Start the combo, let them tap out for Cryptic Command, and counter it. You won't have to worry about paying the Pact cost because you'll win before that ever has to happen.
The sideboard is full of answers for specific decks that are currently strong and/or popular. The only thing you will have next to no shot against is Infect. (Though some lists will run Melira, Sylvok Outcast as a potential sideboard answer.)
With the perfect opening hand and draws, this deck can go off, on the draw, on turn 2. This is thanks to Gemstone Caverns in the sideboard. I tend to always bring it in if I'm about to be on the draw.
Tasigur, the Golden Fang is my newest addition to the sideboard. If for some reason you have to go wide, he is a threat that can be relatively cheap once you've used a few cantrips.
Thanks to Reuben Bresler for the inspiration to try out this sweet deck.
