Do you think I have a decent start on this deck? I just built it, I have not tested it and I'm trying to learn here so please give me your opinion.

I'm new and only have some old cards (fallen empires, 4th, Ice age) and some new cards to work with, could you folks give me you opinion on this deck, plese keep in mind I don't have alot of cards.

In general there isn't a ton wrong with the build. The curve is low and well distributed and I don't see any conflicting goals among the cards you have picked out. I think you should strongly consider running between 22 and 24 lands; the old 20:40 split is an outdated concept and decks tend to run smoother with at least 22 lands. Additionally, I don't see a lot of benefit to keeping dark ritual in the deck. It's a fun card but running 4 of them to speed out only 8 cards isn't an effective use of the card slot. I understand the desire behind running them to ramp up the burn but I believe you will be better-suited by letting the mana for the burn come naturally instead of forcing it. Maybe you have some Erg Raiders around?

Ok I added 3 more mountains and one more swamp, I removed two of the dark ritual and added one more Drudge Skeletons, I don't have any Erg Raiders so I will have to find something else to use , I'm trying not to buy single cards untill I get better at building decks and buying singles is worth the money, but for now its all about learning.
