I just noticed a bug -- I was looking for everyone that had the card "Mana Reflection" in their tradelist through the card database. I clicked on a number of people, but when viewing the trading opportunities section of their profiles, Mana reflection did not show up for many/most of them. In all cases, there were other cards appearing in their "can send" section, but not Mana Reflection. Additionally, when I look at their tradelist, it does in fact show that they have Mana Reflections for trade. Not sure if other cards are affected.

I've noticed that it does that as well, but in my case it's good. If I have the card on my wishlist flagged as foil, it will only show it to me if the one on their tradelist is foil.

You might want to check what attributes are set on your wishlist (condition, language, etc) because I think it will only show the match if those extended attributes match.

It still shows my graveborn entomb when they're looking for the original version of it, though. Odd.

I don't have any extra attributes specified in my wishlist, and the issue seems to affect people who have specified some attributes, as well as people who have not specified any. Just seems to be a bug?

I am seeing the same issue. Here is what I have tried:

Setup :
User xisepirt has a vindicate for trade as shown when looking at the vindicate list and in there trade list.
The listed vidicate has Lang, set, and condition set

Test 1:
Vindicate in my wish list. No settings.
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.

Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 2:
Vindicate in my wish list. Set chosen.
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 2:
Vindicate in my wish list. Set and lang chosen .
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 3:
Vindicate in my wish list. Set, condition and lang chosen .
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 4:
Vindicate in my wish list and in my inventory. Set and lang chosen for wish list. Nothing chosen for inventory
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 5:
Vindicate in my wish list and in my inventory. Set and lang chosen for wish list and inventory.
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing

Test 6:
Vindicate in my wish list and in my inventory. Set and lang chosen for wish list and inventory. Inventory listed as for trade. User NukaColaJunkie has Vindicate in there wishlist.
View http://deckbox.org/users/xiselpirt.
view http://deckbox.org/users/NukaColaJunkie
Results:
No vindicate shown in trade listing or inventory listing for any users.

So my guess not knowing anything about how this site works would be that some of the queries are cached or indexed and they are not updating.

Sorry to necro a thread, but I'm still seeing huge issues with not matching up trades correctly due to the new attributes. Is there any way to disable attributes as part of our matching scheme if not just for ourselves (maybe in our personal settings for deckbox?) I feel like I've missed out on trade opportunities and it makes it such that I really have to dig through a persons wishlist / inventory to find out what I can actually give / take.

Actinide, can you exemplify what issues you have found with the user intersection?

Sure. Random example, but:

Situation 1:
I have Underground Seas (no attributes) listed in my Tradelist.

http://deckbox.org/users/asmodeanreborn (randomly chosen based on Wishlist) needs Revised and Unlimited Underground Seas. However, if I go to his profile page, it doesn't say he needs it (because his has attributes on Wishlist, my Tradelist does not).

Situation 2:
I have Acorn Catapult (attributes: mint/english) listed in my Tradelist.

http://deckbox.org/users/surrealwebs (randomly chosen based on Wishlist) needs a Commander (only set it's printed in) / Mint / English Acorn Catapult. Since I don't have the set listed (although it's the only set it's printed in), it still won't pair us as a trade on that card.

I can find more situations, but hopefully that shows a bit of what's going on.

I think it comes down to having to make my Tradelist AS specific as possible to match people's parameters, while making my Wishlist AS nondescript as possible to match people's lack of parameters. This seems time consuming and flawed. :(

Thank you for the info.

We did want to incentivize people to be specific with the editions of their tradelist cards, since it makes for much smoother and clearer trading. But your points make sense and the situations described are indeed unfortunate for people with less details specified.

I think we will add these "non matching" rows to that listing as well, maybe highlighted somehow to point out they do not precisely match but may be useful. How does that sound?

That sounds amazing, thank you sebi. I agree, even "non-matching" rows, specified as such is great because that will at least open options up, especially if cards are in multiple editions, the player at least has the option of considering another version.

It wouldn't be AS bad of an issue if I didn't have to go back through my 1900+ inventory and fix all the cards that I prelisted during deckbox1.0. :)

Thanks again for your consideration on this topic.

Sebi, are you saying it will end up looking similar to this:

Users having [Card Name] (matching Wishlist card name AND specified details):
Found 22 users (sorted by proximity to you) Page 1 of 2NextLast
# Name Details Location
----------------------------------------------------

Users having [Card Name] (matching Wishlist card name only):
Found 332 users (sorted by proximity to you) Page 1 of 48NextLast
# Name Details Location
----------------------------------------------------

Or perhaps just have a toggle that shows the # of matches:

Users having [Card Name] [Exact Match(22)|Name Match (348)]:
Found 22 users (sorted by proximity to you) Page 1 of 2NextLast
# Name Details Location
----------------------------------------------------

Either way, seeing both would be cool.[/Exact Match(22)|Name Match (348)][/Card Name][/Card Name][/Card Name]

@corvair64 - no, we were talking about the card intersection you see when you visit a user's profile.

The section on the card page is being completely rewritten as a separate Find Trades page, with filters for users, cards and other cool stuff

That's great to hear too! Do you know when the fix will come in for the "non-exact matching" portion?

Wow, seems like it was added in today (with the Red Highlight, nice touch!)

Thank you again Sebi (and the rest of the deckbox staff!), it's stuff like this that keeps my adblock off and me on this site over any other MTG trading site.

Is there a way to make this a toggle-able option? Since most of my wishlist is foil-only I found it VERY useful to only see cards marked as foil in the person's tradelist, not hundreds of cards in red that I don't want.

Great that you guys are so responsive!

awesome update! I concur with Nighthawk though -- a way to toggle it would be great -- ideally within the trading opportunities window, or if not, then in the settings.
