So I recently started playing magic and I've built my first deck which is B/W tokens. I would really appreciate any feedback or opinions on my deck thus far. I would also love to know your thoughts on B/W tokens in general as well!

Thanks.

EDIT: new link to newer deck

Well thats a modern deck no standard.

Tokens in general is a fairly solid deck, but theres a few things you've done with yours that I generally disagree with.

1) Intangible Virtue should probably be a 4 of instead of 2.
edit: I had a special moment:rolleyes: 2) you got enough hand disruption!
3) Auriok Champion is an alright card but should probably be in the board not the main!
4) your mana base looks strong but is probably surprisingly hit and miss! You've got 8 Colourless sources! I'd look into dropping some/all of the chapels heaths and tec edges. Think about running a few more basics just to shore that up (jeeze! Its rare to have to say that Mostly people just have basics and it makes it rough.)
5) Personally I dont like Sword of War and Peace, Sword of Fire and Ice is where its at but then its also extremely expensive...

Wait in regard to mana arnt the chapels dual manas and the heaths for mana fixing? So they arent colourless? I guess the tec are but its useful to get rid of other manas? I guess maybe I need more colour mana to get the chapels and heaths working in the first place....would that be solved with more fetches? say like adding some arid mesas in with the marsh flats?

Imagine for a second you run into a hand where you have 2 Fetid Heath a tec Edge and otherwise a nice hand. You've now got 3 colourless sources!

Its not the worst thing to have just that you need to decide a balance it to reduce the chance of it happening and maximize your fixing!

Chapels are nice but rely on having a swamp/Plains in play. Right now you have 11/22 lands that arent plains/swamps. (Not including Fetches) So alot of them wont trigger Chapels untap.

More fetchs could certainly fix the issue though they start to drain your life more. (This deck has alittle more flexibility on that front so thats nice.)

Theres no 100% Right answer really its just about playing around with what you have to make to reduce those wierd hands where you look at your hand and it throws you off a turn or two.

These are the changes I would make:
-2 Auriok Champion
-1 Hero of Bladehold
-4 Doom Blade
-2 Thoughtseize
-2 Engineered Explosives
-2 Honor of the Pure
+4 Sorin, Lord of Innistrad
+2 Intangible Virtue
+2 Inquisition of Kozilek
+3 Zealous Persecution
+2 Brimaz, King of Oreskos
Starting from top to bottom:
Auriok Champion is not good in this style of deck. Maybe in the side it's decent at best.
2 Hero of Bladehold is fine, but I think Brimaz is stronger.
Doom Blade is cool, but you already have excellent removal in Path. Zealous Persecution will act as pseudo-removal.
Thoughtseize is powerful, but with fetching and shocking you lose too much life. Max the Inquisitions first.
Engineered Explosives is a great card, for a sideboard.
Honor is great, but Intangible Virtue is more powerful if you play Sorin.
Sorin, Lord of Innistrad is everything this deck wants. Makes dudes, pumps them, and then if you can ult him you are in awesome shape.
I'd also play fetches over the heaths. Normally this deck want a T1 Thoughtseize/IoK, T2 Virtue, and T3 Spectral. The easiest way to accomplish this is with fetches.
