Wow, that's a great accomplishment HikingStick, thanks! Be sure to let us know when they get back to you.

I think you're right with the announcement, and I will make an announcement post and move all the T-Mobile discussion in there. Users will see it in their news feeds afterwards.

Even better--I just got a call back from a tech, and he said it is fixed.  I tried it myself (disabled Wi-Fi, and used their network), and IT WORKS!!!

When I buy via Ebay, I try not to spend more than 75% of what the price would be on the TCGPlayer median (preferred) or average (if here).  Often, I will place bids on multiple auctions at between 50-60% in the hope that I get lucky.  I picked up a Goblin Lackey for $4 recently, and that included shipping.

When I sell bulk on Craigslist, I typically get $35-40 for about 3,500 commons and uncommons (no basic lands).

If selling for cash with the crew that plays at my LGS, prices vary on the card (based on demand) and the relationship I have with the other person. Most often, I look for about 80% of what the store would charge.

When I buy from a private party, I'll take a deal if I can get one, but will pay up to what my store charges if the store doesn't have one to sell (and I have an immediate need or desire).

The operators of my little LGS were late submitting their event information and Wizards held the line and barred them from hosting any Pre-Release events this weekend.  The next nearest location is about an hour from home.  My kids had friends come home with them from school so we could all pile into the big van and go to the event. Now I'm not sure what I'm going to do, though starting my own LGS is looking like an attractive option right now.

I contacted T-Mobile this morning and informed them that neither I, nor any of the other data-enabled phones on our plan can reach Deckbox.org with an IP address of 5.9.7.215.  I was escalated to a tech who understood and documented my complaint, and is further escalating the issue to a network engineer.

I also advised them that a failure to allow access to this site on their mobile network would result in my cancellation of our contract (for non-performance), and that we would move our lines (all five of them) to another carrier.  I gave them 10 days to resolve the issue (though their tech assured me I would be contacted with a resolution in less than three days' time).

If mine is the only such threat they receive (and I'm willing to follow through on it), it might accomplish little.  We need everyone who has T-Mobile to dial support (accessible via 6-1-1) and report the problem.

Sebi, any chance we can make a board-wide announcement that asks our T-Mobile using members to contact support?

You're able to get to Deckbox using 4G with T-Mobile?  That's odd since I think we're even in the same state.......

I can get to the site, but it often takes multiple loads.  I'll watch to make sure it is actually using the 4G network (rather than a wireless connection).

I've checked and checked.  I cannot get to Deckbox if only on T-Mobile's wireless network. I'm only connecting when I also have a Wi-Fi connection.  I'm calling them today, because they have me pissed off.

I can't address whether the text is really over the top or not, but many large events will pre-open boosters, inventory them, and stamp them so that the cards may be identified as official cards for the event (prevents anyone from sneaking cards in).  That might explain it.

Hello, and welcome to the site.  Filtering is already an option on tradelists, but often not intuitive to find/use the first time.  See this post for some additional information.

Right now, the matching in the trade box is on the card name (e.g., Forest).  Significant changes to the trade interface are in the works.  Stay tuned for more details.

Again, welcome aboard.

The filters are there, but not the easiest to find.

From the Inventory screen, click Search & Filter from the upper right corner (below the login link).

Then, in the Apply Filters box, the other filter options are available in the [Any] dropdown box.  You'll find the options should let you filter most of the ways you prefer (though not specialty formats like pauper).

The filters are not perfect, but they are a good start!

I was wondering.... how do you sort your multicolor cards?
You just have a separate "Color" category for each color combination?

It's really a preference thing. For sets that are primarily mono-color (e.g., M12, M13), I put the multi-color cards in a single small subsection after all the color sections, but before colorless. In sets that have a strong multi-color focus (e.g. RTR, GTC), I put the multi-colored cards in their own sections and between the sections for the card colors (e.g., B - BR - R - RU - U - UW - W - WG - G - GB).

I recommend starting with some smaller trades.  You piqued my interest, but I won't risk the shiny lady on a trade to someone with zero feedback.

If you do get a taker, be ready to ship first and to insure your shipment.

Canceling trades without any warning/explanation seems to partly be due to having so many new members on the site.  No one I have traded with before has done that to me, however brand new users have done it to me multiple times (usually several times each Monday...).  I use it as an opportunity to write a sentence or two about good trade etiquette.  It is great that Deckbox is becoming more popular and that there are many more people to trade with than there were six months ago, but we all need to be a little proactive in describing good trade etiquette to newer members.  I have almost always gotten a favorable response from people after doing this and hopefully they understand the Deckbox community a little better.

I should add that its not only newer members that cancel trades without warning, I may have done it a time of two myself (shame on me), but it is a growing trend I have noticed.

I believe another reason is that it is still possible to have the same card committed to multiple trades.  I'd like to have a way to pull my cards out of my inventory at the point we agree on the terms.

New to the online play thing.  I'm looking to accumulate some event tickets.  Would anyone be interested in trading them for a paper Liliana of the Veil?

For those who have done this before, let me know how the logistics are handled, and if there are any conversion factors, etc.

Checking back on this issue since we've been reminded via email to support that T-Mobile users still have problems.

Sadly this issue is out of our control. TMobile are using some IP ranges internally that they are not allowed to be using, and they are blocking various websites because of it (deckbox.org being one of them).

I highly recommend opening a ticket with them or asking them in support about it. If you do, be very specific that the problem is you cannot access sites with IP addresses like "5.9.7.215" AT ALL BECAUSE OF THEIR NETWORK.

Some support people will not understand what that means, but maybe you can get to someone who does and registers your complaint. Their IT guys have to fix this problem on their end or you cannot access any website with this range of IP address.

Sorry again for these troubles.

For further reference, other websites have this issue too:

Do you have more details? I'm a T-Mobile user but am able to access the site.

how do you link your tradelist and wishlist into your signiture? i tried reading the help forum stillconfused though.  someone help a newb?

Use the syntax below.  Replace references to my stuff (highlighted between asterisks {***}) to yours:

Wishlist
Tradelist

Get that information by visiting each of your matching pages (Profile, Wishlist, and Tradelist).

Sadly, i ended up buying a misty rainforest from a guy who didnt really play magic at all once.  i told him it was worth a few good bucks but all he wanted was a dollar!

It sounds like you tried to alert him of the additional value.  That was the right thing to do.  I've willingly parted with cards for less than their value when helping out new players or friends.  So long as the seller knew what he was doing, just try to return the favor if you ever do business again.

If these do not get resolved within the next week, please post to the Bad Trade Report forum.

If considering overall pulls for an event, I must say that my Gatecrash pulls were great: two Gideon, two Obzedat, and an Aurelia's Fury.

i'd have to say my best pull was at the Dark Ascension pre-release party where i pulled both an Olivia voldaren, Snapcaster mage, and a Clifftop retreat from my 3 packs of cards followed by both a Geralf's Messenger and a gravecralwer from my dark ascension packs. too bad i had no idea of the value at the time.  i just thought, hey random cards i wont use.  they were swindled out of me :c ahh, such as life haha

Oh, that sucks (someone taking advantage).  I parted with a few full art Unhinged lands for under a dollar each before I learned what they were worth.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here but what's preventing you from mapping a bunch of boxes and selling the remaining contents as the 9 packs from a Fat Pack? Have you done this before and are there people who can confirm as much (I see that you have a high rating)? I'd certainly be interested in buying some packs for drafting but I learned a while ago to buy packs unless they're in a sealed box.

I bought a bunch of them the last time around.  No problems.  I bought most sealed, but had him open one to fit it in with the rest.  I received all the boosters from the open set still in shrink wrap, with the accompanying insert and die.

I bought $100 of them last time.  If I had the cash, I'd buy everything he has left right now.

I have two--a B/R goblin deck under Wort, Boggart Auntie, and a new U/W deck under Geist of Saint Traft I threw together in an hour a couple of weeks ago.

Neither of them is currently in deckbox (at least, not in their current form).  I'll load them this weekend and will post the links.

The goblin deck is straight forward: Aggro, aggro, aggro. My commander lets me return goblins from my graveyard to my hand.  I have a few goblin tutors (e.g., Goblin Matron, Goblin Recruiter) to help me pull certain goblins, or stack them on the top of my deck.  I then use cards like Skirk Drill Sergeant and Goblin Ringleader to get those goblins on the field.  That lets me get out cards like Goblin Lackey and Warren Instigator, which let me play goblins for free from my hand each time I damage a player.  Those free cards could be Goblin King, Goblin Chieftain, or any number of other goblins.  I also added some fun cards that rely on coin flips or other random effects.  Perhaps my favorite is Goblin Game.

The U/W deck has been startlingly good.  Numerous card options prevent attacks (e.g., Sphere of Safety, Norn's Annex, Stormtide Leviathan), there is some removal, and some token generation via things like Moonsilver Spear.

Thanks for the feedback.

At this time, the database does not include collector's number information.  Many requests have come in to add the collector's number (I've submitted one of them big_smile ), since it would help with entering foreign cards when you don't know the English name.

Sebi and the crew are aware of the requests.  Currently they are working to get out a redesign of the trade interface, along with some other fixes from the January release.  While oft requested, there's no word as to if it will be incorporated any time soon.

Sebi and crew aren't getting a paycheck for developing and maintaining the site, so we all (the community) appreciate the work they do put in and understand that they have lives apart from this site.
