I have a non-promo resto that I would throw into a trade for a promo resto.  Feel free to send me a trade.

When choosing a color filter, it would be nice to have a "Multicolored" option, if I just want to see the multicolored cards in my inventory.  I don't care what colors they are per se, I just want to see the multicolored cards.

For instance, I want to see what Multicolored Legendary Creatures I have, in order to decide on a new Commander.

There are some cards that don't have a mana cost, but are colored.  Wheel of Fate, Ancestral Vision, Crimson Kobolds and others.

When searching your inventory/tradelist/wishlist or the card database and filtering by color, those cards do not appear.
For example, If I search for "Wheel" and specify Red cards, Wheel of Fate will not show up.

I'm getting two lines added about 50% of the time (same edition, same condition, same language). For some reason, seems to happen with uncommon (silver) cards more frequently than other colors?

Do you have an example in your inventory?

now, no matter what I do (with the exception of clicking one of the lines and pressing apply) I always have 2 identical lines for it in my inventory. This happens with every card I add.

Am I doing it wrong? sad

No, you're not doing anything wrong.  The "issue" you're seeing is with the card adding widget, not the inventory.

If you go look at your inventory right now (or after you add that card) there should only be one row for the card that you added.
However, in the card adding widget, it will show them as different rows so you can tell apart what you already had in your inventory versus was you just added.  That should only happen right when you add the card(s), and only in the widget, in your inventory it will always just be that one single row for that specific card.

What do you think about an inherent, or flat, multiplier added to the base value of a card if it's marked Foil? Go on the low-side and just use Base Value * 110% or something?

Unfortunately, I think such an equation breaks down on the two ends of the value scale.  Most penny cards are worth between 25 and 50 cents in foil.  On the high end (e.g., some planeswalkers), the foil values are much higher than the standard versions (e.e., Lilian of the Veil at $25 and the foil at $60).

Man, I wish it was that easy.  Some of the old stuff is just crazy, like an MM brainstorm (foil common is $100).  Even in a new set, cloudshift regular is 15c and foil is more like 1.75.  It sucks when I'm doing all these bulk trades, you really do have to check every single one because you never know what will be sneaky-expensive.

Yep.  I was randomly looking up values for some of my cards one time when I found a foil Gush.  I was quite surprised at the results, to say the least.

By the way, I have a foil Gush if anybody is interested in a trade! wink

A similar thing happens with the Edition column in the Card Database.

For instance, I loaded up a list of all the RTR rares, so that I could verify/update some counts from my binder.  If I click on and edit the inventory values for a card in that view then the page will auto-refresh and the Edition column disappears.  Even if you go look at the Columns dropdown list the Edition column is no longer selected.

All fixed now, thanks for reporting

The search you linked works for me, can you check again please if you have an issue with it?

http://deckbox.org/games/mtg/cards?f=17 … 02&v=v

The issue IS still there.  This is the URL linked on the card image for Journeyer's Kite:
http://deckbox.org/mtg/Journeyer's Kite

But that then forwards to this url:
http://deckbox.org/games/mtg/cards#x27;s Kite

Again, this is only in the Spoiler View.  The regular table view has this URL:
http://deckbox.org/mtg/Journeyer's%20Kite

A few things that I've noticed.  Sorry if anything is too wordy and/or needs a better explanation, just let me know.

----

On the page for a specific card with a special set edition (Duel Deck, Commander, etc.), for instance, Kor Cartographer, or Aethersnipe, then the default image for the card is the most recent regular set, while the default pricing is for the special set (Duel Deck, etc.)

----

The Venser vs Koth Duel Deck card images appear to be missing.

----

When searching the card database and using the Spoiler View, if you get a card with an apostrophe in it, then the link isn't valid due to apostrophe not getting properly decoded, or something of that sort.  For instance, this search should show you Journeyer's Kite, and the link to it does not function properly.

----

When editing a deck, if you choose the menu option to send something to the sideboard (or back from the sideboard), it actually does update the deck, but the changes don't appear until you manually refresh the page.

I haven't found anything wrong with it thus far, and it seems to solve a lot of the issues that I had with the old version.  Although I'll be the first to admit that I haven't used it an extensive amount yet, so I'll reserve my final judgment for a later date.

However, instead of just starting what is essentially a petition and basically threaten to leave, maybe you should provide some constructive criticism on ways to actually improve it.  Or at least voice what concerns you do have, beyond the fact that you think it "really really sucks".

From the Trading Guidelines, these two links don't lead where they say, and I don't think that either place even actually exists on the site, or at least it isn't visible to the general public.

It usually only sends you an email that trade has been proposed not when trade has just been started.

Yep, this has always been the case.  If they don't actually propose the trade, then you don't get alerted.

I think it is an interesting concept, but you're wrong about part of it which would probably break the card in general.

From the rules:

118.5. If an effect sets a player’s life total to a specific number, the player gains or loses the necessary
amount of life to end up with the new total.

I've got a bunch of this stuff, including a Guildpact Niv-Mizzet, but I'm not sure what else you may need after all of your trades, so feel free to look through my tradelist and inventory (I don't always move everything over to my tradelist) and send me a trade if there is stuff you need.

As always, great work.  And if you ever need any help, just let us know.

I'll be poking around in the alpha for a while now.....

Edits for feedback:
Seriously, some AMAZING changes, and a lot of the stuff that we've all been asking for.
I love that you can now search on whether you have a certain edition of a card in your inventory, and that I can finally find all of my foils.

Tooltips are a problem for me right now, partially because they overlap a lot of things, especially in the popup dialog, which makes it hard to interact.  But I think the bigger issue, which also might solve the first problem, is that thetooltips don't disappear on mouseout, and that is because on line 14949 of the main.js you have a missing function parameter.

This:
Deckbox._.addEvent(document, 'mouseout', function() {

Should be:
Deckbox._.addEvent(document, 'mouseout', function(event) {

Additionally, I think that tooltips should be used a bit more sparingly.  I don't think I need a tooltip when I hover over every one of my deck names, I only need one if it doesn't fit in the allocated space.

I'm assuming that this is part of it not all being finished, but the decks don't actually link up with your inventory, so it says that I own 0 of the cards in every deck.  Just in case though, I figured I would point it out.

I think this will probably be the busiest Thanksgiving weekend that I've ever had.....

Drive three hours for Thanksgiving Dinner with extended family.
Drive two hours to go visit more family.
Black Friday Shopping from 7pm-7am (maybe later).
Look at new houses with Realtor.
Hopefully sleep, finally.
Daughter's birthday party with way too much family.
Drive two hours home.
Pass out from exhaustion.

Happy holidays to everyone, and safe travels!

Yes, I'm pretty sure that they are real.

Some of them are kind of lame (Borborygmos), some are pretty great (Aurelia, Domri) and some make me squirm simultaneously with EDH glee and Standard uncertainty (Infinite, Hellkite).

It's an issue with how Deckbox and the TCG Player API work together where the prices are averaged across all versions of a card.  So while the Commander version of Sol Ring will go for $6 on average, the Judge Promo and Alpha versions go for over $100, which raises the average price for a Sol Ring quite a bit.

The issue is hopefully being resolved in the next release that will hopefully be coming out soon.

More information on the next release that should include this type of functionality.

What do you value the Liliana's at?  And are you willing to trade just one, or do you want to trade as a playset?

My opinion is that you need to drop red and focus more on WuG.  Gisela is great, she definitely can win games, but you can already do that with an army of fliers.  You need to focus on making those those fliers more reliable.

That being said, here are some of my (very unorganized) thoughts.....

Take out the Judge's Familiars all together and replace them with Avacyn's Pilgrims.  They will provide some much needed ramp.
If you want to splurge for shock lands, then you could use Arbor Elf instead.

Drop Emancipation Angel.  You really don't have any ETB effects to abuse it, and it doesn't have Flash to help save anything else.

Add 2x Herald of War.  Also add 2x Defy Death.  Those together are a very interesting interaction that could really help you get things moving by getting more angels out quicker.  And Defy Death will also help out your big angels that get destroyed in one way or another.

Drop Jace, he doesn't do enough for this deck as a one-of.  If at all possible, replace it with another Ajani, because putting +1/+1 counters can really help out the Herald of War and giving your big fliers double strike is nothing to scoff at, especially if you add in a few Rancors.

Sadly, I think this deck would be a lot better with a lot more dual lands, but I think you might be able to make due by bringing in a few Farseeks and keeping your mana base shifted more towards green and use Avacyn's Pilgrim and Farseek do the work of getting you other colors.  I do think that Somberwald Sage could be a good addition as well in this instance, but I don't think you have enough creatures at the moment to justify it.

Especially if you're going to shift a bit more towards green, then I definitely agree that you should drop Angel of Jubilation.  It can be a great card, but the white is too intensive.

With white and green as your main colors I think that Selesnya Charm is a good addition as well.

I really don't like Thought Scour because it doesn't add much to your strategy.  I guess now you could technically use it to mill yourself to get angels in the graveyard for use with Defy Death.

Yep, that's definitely not right.  One of two things....

  1. There was some type of mixup at the factory and some amount of boosters got out without a rare.  Seems odd, but I know there were plenty of cases where there were double rares in packs, so I guess seeing zero might not be unheard of.  You might be able to write Wizards and see if they might reimburse you.  They'll probably ask for some numbers off the packaging, so hopefully you still have that.  Not sure if they'll care though.

  2. A lot of large retail stores have problems with people stealing from their boosters.  Most of the time people just cut down the side and take all the cards.  Just slipping out the rare seems odd and tedious for a thief, but given that you said the packaging was a bit off, that might be the case.
