I've finalized a traded for a Revised edition Savannah, and I'm trying to decide if I should keep it and let it gain value, the issue being I used most of my decent trade stuff to get ahold of it and I'm trying to build a fairly expensive deck for the modern format. I also can't use the Savannah personally accept in extremely casual games where the savannah probably won't matter much compared to something like a sunpetal grove

Thoughts?

You've built a deck which sits an interesting fence, tokens are an aggro strategy, yet you've splashed blue for control, my advice: drop blue, go mono-white, also you need to decide if you want to go white weenie or white humans, white weenie would say drop the CoPs and pick up more token cards, Intangible Virtue, Lingering Souls, Timely Reinforcements, stuff along those lines, if you want to go humans then you should add some Silverblades and Nearheath Pilgrims along with probably dropping the elite vanguard\s, they're not as good as they seem, if you want to splash a color you've got tons of  options, you could keep the blue but not use any of the cards you're currently using, adding control to aggro does not work, you could however add Wingcrafter, vapor snag/unsummon and if you're going tokens and add a bunch of token creating spells I'd add delvers. if you add green Rancor is an option for humans, not really for tokens though, and Champion of Lambholt is a pretty good option either way. For red there's not much Hero of Oxid Ridge is a decent choice even if it is rotating, Reckless Waif is decent, but doesn't really fit the deck I'd rather use Somberwald Vigilante than Elite Vanguard anyday, don't bother with black if you're staying in humans, if you go for tokens then it's like a requirement, if nothing else just so you can flashback lingering souls

Hope some of that helps

I'm not sure what kind of an EDH deck you're looking for worth less that 150$...

I need a playset, I'm hoping to trade something currently standard worth about 20$ for a playset, either a SoWaP, an Ajani, or a Huntmaster, send me offers? (note I'm not trading caverns or sublimes for them or anything worth alot of value above them)

So I need x2 Noble Hierarchs, x4 Arid Mesa along with any other Zendikar Fetches you're willing to trade

I also need x2 of each of the following Shocklands

Stomping Ground
Temple Garden
Sacred Foundry

Trade them to me before their price drops and then get them back from someone else once it does smile

I could use a Garruk and an Avacyn, shoot me an offer if you'd like

Needs either Idyllic Tutor or Enlightened Tutor since Repercussion is kinda the key part of the deck, also I love bonfires but I don't see them as nessicary, most often you'll probably be just as well off just using another general board wipe, I also don't know If I like Chandra, she's too specific and her ultimate is kinda anticlimatic, the only thing I can see her dooing is copying a good spell you like alot

Whats the percentage of mana of each color you add when you do a dual color deck

I usually try to keep decks to have about even mana symbols so that the numbers of each type of land are equal, it keeps the deck consistent especially if you don't want to drop hundreds of dollars on a mana base, lol

Also I'd recommend Evolving wilds if you want to just put in a small amount of one color, in which case you need to have a way to get that color when you need it

Hi guys and gals, new to deckbox.

I am looking to put together a RUG delver deck to mess around with at my local everywhere, but I am missing a ton. Most shops in my area don't have the staples I'm looking for. I have a bunch of foils up for trade, Let me know if you are interested, Thanks!!!!

What specifically are you looking for? Your wishlist seems to imply that you're building a Legacy Delver deck which would want very different cards as compared to a standard delver deck

In regards to the other posts, in older formats RUG delver is the most common type of delver I've ever seen since it brings in things like Gyof and other fun stuffs, maybe even Life From the Loam

Cost effective is relative, if you just need a couple cards to build a deck then buying singles is better but if you're still trying to figure out how you like to play then you should buy packs and test cards out to see what you like best

I would dig around to see if you can get one for $7 online (they're out there) as apparently they're going through the roof now that everyone has made a mess in their pants thinking about Vraska, the Unseen.

I'm going to be laughing really hard when people realize that Vraska, the Unseen isn't even going to be competitively playable in an environment with Oblivion Ring and the new planeswalker kill card, not to mention that she's 5cmc and doesn't even make an impact until several turns after she hits the board, and I doubt it'll be uncommon for someone to just hold a bonfire/magmaquake until she ultimates, then laughs hysterically, she's a very fun card, without a doubt and I'll be trying to get one for my Ghave deck, until she gets banned in EDH (which could happen very realistically) but not until her price plummets to about where Tibalt's sitting at right now, on a side note, I don't think that she should be included in our deck, unless they re-print doubling season, in which case all bets are off and she's going to be an absolute bomb, but I hope for the sake of standard that they don't reprint Season, no matter how much I want a playset

Has anyone seen a decent rationale as to why WotC bars gold bordered cards from sanctioned play, even if those cards are in opaque sleeves?

I can understand banning them if the backs are visible (unsleeved, or in translucent sleeves), since the unique backs could give the player an advantage (know what card is up next, if only a few cards in a deck have the alternate backs), but why ban them if using opaque sleeves.  They seem to be the same size, weight, and thickness. Other than just making it easier on the judges/officials, has anyone heard any good rationale why they are banned?

If I'm not mistaken, they're from world champion winning decks and are printed and sold together so everyone would just buy one and use the "best deck in the world" so I think that they're banned for the sake of not making the best cards easy to gain by everyone who remotely wants one

I was most likely going to keep the deck mono white and try my hand at FNM with it. This is my first time at trying a white deck so i'm not sure what i have at my disposal, should i add more fiend hunters and pacifism to the sideboard in case i come up against a lot of big blockers or maybe some life gain like the lifelink and angel's mercy.

4 o-rings 2 pacifisms and fiend hunters is way more removal than most people use already, lifelink is worth including tho

Bump, it should be noted that Im also willing to trade other cards for shocklands but at lower prices since theyre getting reprinted

Also looking for zendikar fetches but lets be honest, who isnt, but I figure ill ask anyway, i need x3 arid mesa and one scalding tarn and one misty rainforest

while I 100% like green I'm not a huge fan of Boundless Realms, it's so high casting cost and by the time you do it there's not much you need mana for that you can't already cast, at least in this deck, another strong thing about going GW is that Temple Garden is among the the first shocklands being re-printed so it's gonna be there for you right away, (You've also got Avacyn's Pilgrim as a Mana-Ramp option, but I don't really think you need it unless you're planning to add something larger as a finisher aside from the Monument

If you're willing to add another color, my favorite card for exalted aside from the angel is Rancor, simple elegant trample with an attack boost and little risk of losing it since it always just comes back to your hand, but I'm biased since I think Rancor is the best card in standard

Otherwise apostle's blessing is pretty nice to get in the swing for the kill or something in blue for unblockable, Mirran Crusader is good sideboard since its protections can be invaluable and it comes with double strike

I agree about the Serra Angel but if you've already got them and you don't have the paladins I don't think it's too important to switch them out, however I love Nearheath Pilgrim, it helps out with the lifelink that was mentioned above, and if you can pair with a silverblade that's pretty lethal right away.
