I agree with this rule except when its a trade of this degree. He is flat out trying to rip someone off. There should be a rule set on the degree of evaluation and just trying to scam. Just a personal thought. Best of luck completing this trade.
This isn't the place a debate, but no one is forcing anyone to take him up on his offer. He can ask, and if he doesn't get responses, then it just won't happen. I am personally very interested in trading my TNN and another card of fairly high value for a scalding tarn, and I have left that open to him.

So I want to build Maze's End for standard just for gits before it rotates, to play at local FNMs. I don't want to dump a ton into it, just want to make a budget version, and I was looking for suggestions for the flex/board slots. I'm playing the turbo-fog version, and I have most of the deck built on my profile, but some of the flex options are still open, as is most of the sideboard. If you guys could give me some suggestions, both in general, and based on what I already have listed, that would be appreciated. Also looking for some of the cards like Abrupt decay, Supreme verdict, and detention sphere. Thanks!

So I opened the box on the Mind Seize deck, just to make sure that the deck was there (heard stories of people buying the deck, swapping in 100 basic lands, resealing and returning), but the deck itself is still shrink-wrapped in the plastic. I only need two more scalding tarns to finish my modern deck, and I'm really trying to finish it ASAP. I would be willing to open the deck if someone only wanted the TNN or Strix in combination with other things on my trade list. I don't want to BUY the Tarns, but would be willing to do some combination of cash and cards, and would be willing to give significant extra value, to get the last two tarns that I need. I would definitely make it worth your while

Well trade value is generally more than cash value, and I've seen people around where I am trading for them at $3-4, depending on who you talk to. I guess online you can figure $2-2.50, theoretically, but that's just from what I've seen

Title says it all. Picked up a mind seize deck today, and don't need the True-name. Would like to trade it and a shockland for a scalding tarn, or just sell the TNN. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
