My news stream hasn't updated since March 6th and I know my friends have made changes to decks and whatnot. Anyone else experiencing this?

Ah, I did not know that.

For Sebi

What about foils?

Foil warping can be caused by a few different things: moisture, temperature, time, and probably some others. Most of my foils I generally keep in a secure/tight location. For example, my all-foil cube is kept in a pretty snug box so the foils don't have any room to warp. What you said was correct though, foils eventually warp no matter what. The foil layer is made of plastic which responds differently to moisture, temperature etc than the cardstock it is attached to.

bulk

How many sleeves are you talking? It depends on how many cards you decide to double-sleeve. I personally only sleeve a few hundred so buying 1000+ wouldn't make sense.

For cheaper cards I would say it just isn't worth it to double-sleeve. The value difference between a NM and LP $1 or 50c card is negligible. Unless it's in a deck with more expensive cards then it's a good idea to double-sleeve the entire deck.

See title.

Profile and Tradelist are in the sig.

So do you just not worry about cheaper cards? Or do you generally not play with decks that *don't* have high-value cards in them?

(I wish I could be that kind of player! But I'm doing well if my entire DECK is worth $100, much less a single card!)

If a deck doesn't contain any high-value cards I just single sleeve it. I have never had that be an issue.

If the card isn't part of a deck then it's pretty much just sitting in a box or binder and as such won't be susceptible to any damage. In general all of my cards that aren't in a deck that are worth more than a couple dollars are single-sleeved and in a trade binder.

I forgot to respond to your questions about pricing: A 100 pack of Ultra-Pros, at the closest game store to my house, is $8 plus tax which is, obviously, more expensive than the double sleeved 75-card deck you quoted. I'd say <$8 for double sleeved is a pretty good deal especially with KMC sleeves.

I double sleeve entire decks (double-sleeving only part of a deck can get you game losses from a judge) that contain high value ($100+) cards and any card worth over $100 that's not in a deck.

You don't have to specify a card that you want.

Select Trading opportunities > Change the setting for "I'm willing to trade" to "Specific cards" > Enter a card you have on your tradelist > Click Apply Filters > Profit.

The dropdown when entering the card name doesn't automatically display specific copies of cards from your tradelist so you have to enter that criteria manually. Generally though it's better to leave the card attributes blank as that will provide you with the most hits.

Edit: Forgot to mention that if someone wants a specific version of a card that doesn't match the copy(copies) you have available they will show up on the trade opportunities list, but you won't see that card listed under the list of cards they want from you.

Well, Starcitygames has them for a dollar, with 18 still in stock. I know I should stop quoting SCG, but they usually have prices higher than other sources - that's one of their main criticisms I hear; that they inflate prices.

I see what the problem is. One sellers has a non-foil copy listed. Non-foil doesn't actually exist, but because of the way the TCG pricing algorithm works, the price for that single copy is displayed as the average price. The true average price should probably be $1 as you said.

Got my hopes up. They're actually a buck, or less.

TCG mid shows $2.99.

Forced Fruition
Breathstealer's Crypt
Teferi's Puzzle Box
Anvil of Bogardan

and if you're going to go more control-y as Ty suggested: Pendrell Mists

Just throwing this out there even though I know the market for it is extremely small.

As the title says, I have an Alpha Tropical Island that was restored by Eric Klug.

Interested in anything that's liquid. I.e. Revised duals, other larger things.

And before anybody mentions it, I already know about the High End and Altered Magic Facebook groups.

Edit: Link to Klug's blog post about the restoration.

The rare Avacyn Restored symbol looks a little weird, but the others and the Mirrodin Beseiged icons look just fine to me. What exactly are you seeing? Post a screenshot maybe.

The 7th edition foil was expensive (I sold 3 for more than its current price a few months ago) because it was the first foil printing, a very small foil print run, and it's a classic joke card. As for the 8th edition, I guess someone is trying to do the same thing.

That actually is a little low.

I thought one of the other benefits of premium was increased support, but I have no answer in two weeks?

This is the Site Discussion forum, not the place to look for support from the DB admins. That would be the "Support & Feedback" link at the top of the page.

  • As it is right now, decks built on Deckbox are simply a list of cards, not a list of specific copies of cards that a player owns. The feature that you are asking for is on Sebi's to-do list and I would bet that it's pretty high as it is suggested at least a few times a week.

  • As for the "Needs Attention" list/filter you mentioned, I've been on DB for a couple years and I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

  • Autotrade worked just fine for me. What exactly were you expecting it to do?

Looks like the 'Is promo' filter still looks for the now deprecated promo tag.

It's possible the deckbox price is off. However, I can only find about 5 or 6 copies available online for ~$3 each. 0 copies available on TCGplayer. Perhaps there was a buyout.

Edit: Hmmm, 8 copies available on SCG for $2 each. Looks like the deckbox price is just off.

Hmmm, seems to work fine for me. I assume you're trying to add cards to decks from your inventory page? As a 'workaround' you can add cards to decks on the deck pages themselves. In the upper-right there is an 'Import' drop-down list. Select either of the options here to add cards to your deck.

Edit: typo

I agree that an indicator telling us a user is currently involved in an ongoing trade dispute would be good.

That or suspend new trades (both sending and receiving) while there is a dispute open.

This might be open to abuse. I'm a fan of an indicator, but automatically suspending trades while a dispute is open might be a bit much.

How about just disable the 'Accept Trade' and 'Propose Trade' buttons? That way they can continue discussing ongoing and new trades, but won't be able to finish/confirm them until the dispute is settled.

Edit: The above possibly in addition to what PhillipW suggested, an indicator on the trade pages.

This doesn't seem like it would be that difficult. There is already code in place to track cards by number of times traded, number in inventory/wishlist/tradelist. Granted there are a ton of decks on Deckbox, but it seems like it should be feasible to gather data from all of the complete decks (exactly 60/100 cards) and provide percentages for each card.

Edit: As d72B said though, with Sebi being the sole supporter of DB this would take a pretty low priority. =/
