Additions to the site have gotten slower, and I'm currently attributing that to the greater numbers of cards/set and products in general (e.g. multiple variants of art, Art Cards, Secret Lairs, The List, Commander Decks for every set, etc., etc., etc.).

I scraped this site for how many cards were added per year (breaking out Secret Lair and The List into their correct years, and ignoring ~1600 cards I couldn't easily place, such as FNM, Media Inserts, Judge Gift Program, etc.).

What we get is a huge increase in the last few years, with 2019-2021 seeing more cards added to this site than the previous 7 (2012-2018) combined:

"Three Weird Sisters" is one of the variants of Henrika Domnathi, so you can find it here.

All non-Magic IP (e.g. Dracula and Godzilla) cards are logged this way. It remains to be seen how the Secret Lair x Stranger Things cards will be handled, since those will have a non-Magic IP variant name before the in-game equivalent card name is revealed (which will show up in New Capenna Set Boosters).

For now, Stranger Things just uses their non-IP name in the search, but this may need an update when the Magic IP versions launch... just thinking out loud here.

Looks like 556 Swamp and 569 Mountain are both still missing (here a link to images: https://imgur.com/a/ypBOthF).

Also, could Viscera Seer be moved to 801 or 901 or something? It's currently a duplicate #11.

Hello! I opened a PW-stamped Guardian Project from a Midnight Hunt Promo Pack, which I believe is indistinguishable from the Ikoria Promo Pack version.

I'm a big fan of cards being grouped together when they cannot be distinguished from other versions (I'm looking at you, "Magic Game Day" Suture Priest!), so I'm wondering if we should have a general Promo Pack grouping (like The List) instead of individual Promo Packs groupings for each set?

How do folks feel about this? Are there other solutions you'd prefer?

Hello, Sebi,

When sorting by Expansion/Card #, Adventures of the Forgotten Realms shows up between Journey into Nyx and Born of the Gods, instead of between Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Strixhaven.

Is the year off in the date for AFR in the system somewhere?

Also, any updates on when MID Art Series and MID The List will be updated?

Thank you for the background! I didn't know about the part of the community that wants the single-faced cards.

For me, no card should be listed in Deckbox unless it exists.

That said, perhaps there's a win-win for everyone? Something that covers proxies, too, as I know that's been requested?

Or perhaps the ability to list cards that do not exist for sale should be removed?

I know this isn't the thread to get into this, but I think it's a valuable conversation to have at some point.

Still outstanding from what I'm seeing:
- Art Series - Innistrad: Midnight Hunt
- The List additions
- Innistrad: Midnight Hunt DFC Helper Card Tokens

Also, in the Extras for the Innistrad Midnight Hunt Commander decks, there are no single-sided tokens, so #1-#11 are not cards that exist. Can these be removed?

Hello! It seems that there *is* a way to distinguish the different versions of Playtest cards (particularly the 2019 Convention and The List versions, which both have different sized PW symbols):

  • 2019 Convention Mystery Booster Playtest Cards have a "fat" PW symbol in the lower left corner

  • 2021 Mystery Booster Playtest Cards do not have a PW symbol in the lower left corner

  • The List Playtest Cards (currently only 2 introduced with MID) have a "thin" PW symbol in the lower left corner

Some of the images on Scryfall show The List ones with two overlapping PW symbols, but that is not accurate.

Hello! Visions of Duplicity is in the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Commander expansion, which has not been uploaded to Deckbox, yet.

I do not know of an in-system way to pre-log a card, so I suggest keeping an offline list of what you still need to add (e.g. Excel, Google Docs).

Usually Sebi adds cards with a week of launch. He got the regular Innistrad: Midnight Hunt cards added a few days early, so hopefully the Commander ones are forthcoming.

Hello, all, I have some suggestions for cards to remove that do not exist. Mostly these are cards which are listed as single-faced but are only available as double-faced cards. I've also included a couple other clean-up suggestions in the list below:


Extras: Friday Night Magic - #1 Human and #2 Wolf are Human // Wolf (image link)

Extras: Avacyn Restored (The Helvault Experience) - #1 Angel and #2 Demon are Angel // Demon (image link)

Extras: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms - Cards #5 The Atropal, #6 Skeleton, #12 Goblin, #20 Dungeon of the Mad Mage, #21 Lost Mine of Phandelver, and #22 Tomb of Annihilation do not exist as single-sided tokens (technically the Dungeons do as Oversized versions, but those are in another spot)

Extras: Commander 2014 - Cards #1-#36 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Commander 2015 - Cards #1-#24 do not exist as single-sided tokens... also, Dragon (009) // Dragon (009) and Lightning Rager (011) // Lightning Rager (011) are missing (yes, these two tokens have the same image front and back for some reason)

Extras: Commander 2016 - Cards #1-#21 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Commander 2017 - Cards #1-#11 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Commander 2018 - Cards #1-#26 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Commander 2019 - Cards #1-#29 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Commander 2020 - Cards #1-#19 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Extras: Zendikar Rising Commander - Cards #1-#11 do not exist as single-sided tokens

Magic Game Day - #16 Suture Priest is impossible to distinguish from the normal set version (e.g. New Phyrexia #25)... the only way to know it is the promo is if it is still sealed with the "Mirrodin Pure" Pristine Talisman (Magic Game Day #17). Since this card is identical to the set version, I suggest removing it from the site to avoid any confusion.

Prerelease Events: Eldritch Moon - #1 Zombie is actually Zombie // Zombie (image link)

Planechase Anthology - Oversized Planar Cards are mixed in with the regular cards. Can the Oversized Planar Cards be moved to their own section, so card numbers aren't duplicated for this set?



Did I miss anything or include something that shouldn't have been? Happy to hear feedback.

I'm really happy with all the catch-up that's been happening this week. :-)

Alas, here's something new to add to your plate: all the Playtest cards from the new Mystery Booster Convention Edition that are coming out DO NOT have the Planeswalker symbol in the lower left corner, as the ones from last year did.

This means all the new Playtest Cards are separate cards and will need their own set. Also, two cards (Soulmates and Yawgmoth's Testament) get new art (https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/a … 2021-06-21) in addition to losing the PW symbol.
