I see a good Human deck in there at least, if not two!  I tend to end up with a lot of human cards too; so this is my human deck: http://deckbox.org/sets/368039

I think it's pretty good although I do agree that you might want to up your mana.

On another note in keeping with your detain theme, I just wanted to mention that you could also include Lyev Decree, Isperia's Skywatch, or New Prahv Guildmage.

This is what I would do with the deck: http://deckbox.org/sets/400641

I added significant life gain, and I added several selesnya cards from the newer expansions to power up the deck and focus on the production of green and white mana.  I also adjusted the lands to better suit the deck.

It's not the best solution, but this should do it: http://deckbox.org/sets/400621

I just came into the possession of a Call of the Conclave Friday Night Magic Edition, but I cannot properly list it because the edition is not listed on the site.  It looks quite a bit different from the regular edition and is worth more.

I took the liberty to look at the inventory you currently have posted and create my version of a Swamp/Plains deck.  This is what I came up with: http://deckbox.org/sets/400593

When I build my decks, I try to maintain a balance between high powered creatures and low cost spells as well as a proportion between my lands and everything else.  My land/everything else proportion is 40/60.  Forty percent lands, and sixty percent everything else. (That's 24 lands, and 36 everything else in a 60 card deck.)  Then I pick out my planeswalkers if I want to use any.  Because 36 divided by 2 is 18, I subtract the number of planeswalkers from 18.  The number I have left is the number of creatures I'm going to include.  I sort my creatures in the select colors or theme or whatever by power plus toughness from largest to smallest.  Then I select and include up to four versions of a certain card from each pile until I have a total of 18 creatures and planeswalkers. (BTW - I did not do this on the sample because it would take too long, but I did include the strongest creatures.)  Next, I pick out my artifacts if I want to use any; then I subtract the number of artifacts from 18.  The number I have left is the number of enchantments, instants, and sorceries I'm going to include.  I sort those cards in the select color or theme or whatever by mana cost from smallest to largest.  Then I select and include up to four versions of a certain card from each pile until I have a total of 18 artifacts, enchantments, instants, and sorceries.  (BTW - I did not do this on the sample because it would take too long, but I did include the cheapest spells.)  Finally, I select the lands that I want to use sticking within my chosen color boundaries.  I sort the lands based on what kind of mana they produce with cards that produce two different mana colors choosing a side (eg - if I have two cards that produce both white and black or either white or black, one would side with the plains and the other would side with the swamps).  Colorless cards side with the color that has the least lands on its side.  Then I go to the Stats page, scroll down to the bottom, and look at the land numbers listed at the bottom left.  After subtracting my already chosen land numbers from those, I fill in the final basic lands completing the deck.

It's a long, confusing process, but it works very well.  You're not likely to get mana shafted or creature shafted, and you can be guaranteed to have a fairly good balance of everything you need.

Here is my version: http://deckbox.org/sets/400487

I mean it's not perfect but at least you'll have a better chance at winning.

OH MY WOW!!! My college friends (all guys) thought it was a crazy idea, but I too was tired of having to point out teeny tiny boobs to prove that such and such card was a she.  In fact just yesterday, I had to point out that Centaur Courser was in fact a woman centaur with a bikini top on.

My name is Victoria Hutchison. I started playing right after Return to Ravnica came out.  My husband introduced me to the game back in college, but the Bible college I attended did not allow us to have MTG cards on campus.  I play mostly Standard Casual, but I want to play FNM soon.  I love to build decks, and I feel that my skill has improved.  However, there is always room for more improvement.  I absolutely love trading, and it feels like Christmas whenever a new trade arrives in my mailbox.

Hey!  I live in Garland, Texas, just outside of Dallas.  In regards to the best places to shop, I prefer The Comic Asylum (905 N Jupiter Rd, Suite 170, Richardson, TX 75081).  However on Free Comic Book Day, I discovered that there are a total of six comic book/gaming stores in my area including The Comic Asylum: Comic Book Craze (1456 Belt Line Road, Suite #121, Garland, TX 75044), C-BAM! (1425 W. Buckingham Rd., Garland, TX 75042), Keith's Comics (345 Coneflower, Garland, TX 75040), Awesome Comics (8420 Abrams Rd, Ste 202, Dallas, TX 75243), and Madness Games and Comics (3000 Custer Rd, Suite 150, Plano, TX 75075).

Thanks! I had created a forum, and I wasn't sure how to invite members at that point. So I was sending messages to people that I thought would be interested. Now I do a lot of trading and I need to talk to potential traders.

I was really bored, and I had tried this with Shadow Era. However, they don't have very strong female cards. So for this, I just spent a couple hours looking at each of my cards individually to find all my girls. Then I built a deck. I've gotten more girls since, and I just threw them in after removing others. I need to really rebuild it, but I haven't had the time lately.

Any time I try to email anyone from the site, it says that email is temporarily disabled.  Why?

Welcome to MTG Girls! We girls need to stick together! Sometimes the women can be overshadowed by ALL of the guys that play the game.  We are smarter though and can easily beat them if the more experienced girls in the game help the noobs learn the ropes. This forum is for the sharing of tips between girls.

There's a new community just for girls! Check it out: http://deckbox.org/communities/mtg_girls!

I'm pretty sure that your cards have to be from the editions listed here (https://www.wizards.com/Magic/TCG/Resou … frstandard) to be legal in competition.

When I  started playing MTG, my friend who has been playing for many, many years gave me the following guideline: when building a deck always have a minimum of 40% lands.  In a 60 card deck, that would be 24 lands and 36 of anything else.
