Y'all are missing the following versions of Paladin Class

We're actually missing all AFR Prerelease cards and AFR Promo Pack cards.

Here's an updated list of what I have still missing:
- AFR Prerelease
- AFR Promo Pack*
- AFR The List
- AFR Double-Sided Tokens
- AFR Oversized Dungeon Tokens (each dungeon comes oversized and single-sided in the AFR Bundle)
- AFR Ampersand Treatment
- AFR Commander Double-Sided Tokens
- MH2 Double-Sided Tokens
- Strixhaven DFC Helper Cards
- Kaldheim DFC Helper Cards
- an etched foil solution

I'll leave all the "nice-to-haves" off this post to keep it succinct. :-)

* I actually never use this... I mark any planeswalker cards I get from promo packs in their original expansion with the "promo (deprecated)" flag... since you can get the same card in different promo packs with no way of distinguishing them, I don't think it's helpful to have unique expansions for each promo pack. Of course, the promo flag doesn't give a different price, which is the same issue as the etched foil debate, but I'm comfortable logging my collection this way.

I dont know if it is actually missing or if I am looking it up incorrectly.  But the Timeless Dragon token?

Hello! Not sure how to search for it, but here it is: https://deckbox.org/mtg/Timeless%20Drag … ting=57830

It's in the MH2 Extras tab, for future reference.

EDIT - ah, it's named the same as the normal card, so it shows up on the normal card's page. Ideally it would be Token: Timeless Dragon, or something to differentiate it.

It's been debated multiple times in the past whether single-sided tokens for the commander decks should even be added to the database... A virtual inventory should, in most people's minds, mirror a physical inventory.

I strongly believe that Deckbox should only list cards that exist. I would prefer that all cards that do not actually exist be removed as options.

Hello, Sebi! I notice a small issue: when sorting by Expansion on the Inventory page, Strixhaven still shows at the top instead of AFR.

Thanks, should be fixed now.

Thanks for checking, and it still sorts Strixhaven at the top. Where I'm seeing this is from the Inventory tab, when I click either "E/R" or "E/#" Strixhaven is at the top.

Is AFR coded as a non-Standard set? Those often get put below instead of in release order.

Thanks for checking... this is low-priority for me, but just something that seems off.

The dungeon token always have something at the front.  The exception being the commander deck that has a 2 dungeon token. Do you plan to put those token in the format
Goblin // Dungeon of the mad mage
or filed it under Goblin and put the back of the card there ?
the goblin token is 12/19   and the dungeon that come with it 20 so the dungeon are not counted

What I'm finding is that the dungeon tokens and their corresponding backs exist solely as double-sided tokens:
- 020 // 012 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage // Goblin
- 021 // 006 - Lost Mine of Phandelver // Skeleton
- 022 // 005 - Tomb of Annihilation // The Atropal

For AFR, I am not sure that any of these six tokens exists as a single-sided token without the other on the back. Happy to be corrected, but I just haven't seen any examples, yet.

That said, there is a special dungeon token for Commander AFR, as previously mentioned:
- 020 // 021 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage // Lost Mine of Phandelver

Link: https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/a … 2021-07-12

If it turns out that the single-sided ones (e.g. the three dungeons, goblin, skeleton, & atropal) do indeed not exist, my preference is that they get removed entirely.

You're awesome... THANK YOU!!! :-)

Pricing is the issue here. The etched versions have to have their own separate price from normal and foil. I  difficult to add  special handling for flags whenever wizards wants to add another one, that might be just used for a single set (like the d&d ampersand foil thing they're doing now). It's much easier to just have that as a printing than a special flag. (the same as we do for planeswalker stamped, date stamped, etc...)

I hear you... I'm just opting for a solution that works for me in terms of cleanliness of tracking my collection. Since I'm less concerned about the price, I'm choosing to keep my cards together in their set instead of splitting them across multiple ones.

That's mostly the current status.

Thank you! I really appreciate the update and all your work maintaining this site.

I understand that the solution you pick for Etched Foil may not be one that works for me, and I'll continue to use odd Flag Combos instead (e.g. Foil & Promo or Foil & Misprint).

Thanks, Sebi.

I do have a question about the backlog of additions (e.g. MH2 Prerelease Promos, MH2 Art Cards, MH2 Double-Sided Tokens, Strixhaven DFC Helper Cards, Kaldheim DFC Helper Cards,...) as well as the Etched Foil solution.

Do you have an update for us on these? Also, can you help us understand why there have been such delays in adding cards? I've seen some low-level grumbling on the forums, and some proactive communication may help.

If you can share your plan for when AFR cards will be added, too, that will also help.

Thank you.

I'm not a coder, so those solutions are best left to others.

What I do see is a push by WOTC to increase the collectibility of a set across varying treatments (e.g. foil, etched foil) and styles (e.g. retro frame, showcase, extended art). Styles have their own card number, but treatments do not, and it's likely that we will see more of those.

I believe that an adaptable solution with room to add future treatments will be necessary.

At the same time, I really would like to catalog what I have now, which is why I liked meldon44's suggestion above. :-)

I'm in limbo! I got 3 prerelease kits and a Set Booster Box that I need to input.....

I'm in the same boat, so I used a separate tracking list to log what cards I still need to import into Deckbox.
Here's the link if you want to do something similar:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … edit#gid=0

To help navigate:
Columns A:F are for MH2 cards (#1-#492)
Columns H:M are for MH1 Retro Frame cards (#1-#40), below them are Art Cards & Tokens

Hello! There are double-sided MH2 tokens that I know of so far:
001 Bird // 011 Squirrel
001 Bird // 021 Treasure
002 Crab // 014 Clue
002 Crab // 015 Clue
002 Crab // 018 Food
003 Phyrexian Germ // 011 Squirrel
005 Timeless Witness // 011 Squrrel
006 Zombie // 014 Clue
007 Zombie Army // 019 Thopter
008 Goblin // 011 Squirrel
009 Beast // 015 Clue
009 Beast // 017 Food
011 Squirrel // 019 Thopter
012 Golem // 018 Food
019 Thopter // 020 Treasure

There is also a new Fabled Passage Promo (retro-frame): https://wpn.wizards.com/en/article/us-s … rns-may-28

Also, here are other items still missing from a previous post:

Solseek wrote:

Recent Missing Cards:
- Strixhaven Art Series cards are missing
- DFC Helper Cards from Kaldheim & Strixhaven are missing (https://tinyurl.com/3ea48z83)

Other Solutions Requested:
- pricing is missing for cards with "//" in their names across several sets, notably Strixhaven: School of Mages
- a Foil Etched flag (I'm still hoping this is the solution instead of additional expansions)

Nice to Haves:
- Could the Unstable cards with varying artwork all have "(a)" type modifiers after their names? Currently some do (e.g. Knight of the Kitchen Sink, Very Cryptic Command, Sly Spy, Garbage Elemental, Ineffable Blessing, & Everythingamajig) but others do not (e.g. Amateur Auteur, Novellamental, Extremely Slow Zombie, Target Minotaur, Beast in Show, & Secret Base)
- Similarly, could Brothers Yamazaki from Champions of Kamigawa have (a) and (b) in their names?
- Could the tildes ("~") used for Surgeon ~General~ Commander be replaced with minus signs (e.g. Surgeon -General- Commander)? The tilde messes up some searches because it is a special character.
- There are six versions of Tamiyo's Journal from Shadows over Innistrad (https://tinyurl.com/fm9a9v7h), and there is currently no way to differentiate them

Thank you!

meldon44 wrote:

Just out of personal curiosity, what type of searches are you performing that get messed up by tildes but wouldn't by hyphens? And how do they get messed up, as in, what's the messed-up result look like?

Tilde in Excel is a wildcard, so it's impossible to look up Surgeon ~General~ Commander with anything requiring an exact match (vlookup, for instance). The minus sign is a character (not a wildcard), so that can be found exactly.

All this said, I put this in the "nice to have" bucket... I work around this issue when analyzing collection data, but it would be nice to change it (and never use a tilde again). ;-)

meldon44 wrote:

So I did some research, and this has to do with how specifically Excel on Windows interprets and displays UTF-8 encoded files. In short, it doesn't like them, and shows you weird character strings instead of the correct ones. However, if you were to view the CSV in another program, like Notepad++, the correct characters are visible in the file.

I found a way to fix this issue that doesn't seem to interfere with Deckbox import. Let me know if you encounter any issues, but now you should be able to download and view the files in Excel without issue, as well as import them into Deckbox.

Hello, meldon44, thank you for looking at this! I'm using Excel on a Mac, and I'm still getting "Márton Stromgald", "Lim-Dûl's Vault", "Ghazbán Ogre", and "Dandân", for example. This is from a CSV export from last night.

Also, none of my issues are with importing (it's all export-related).

I'll check with Sebi if we can change the name of "Surgeon ~General~ Commander" to "Surgeon -General- Commander". Specifically those tildes mess up searches.

Thank you!

Hello, meldon44!

Thank you for the CSV work, and quick question for you: are you able to fix things like names that don't show up properly in exports, like Dandan, Marton Stromgald, and others with special characters? Or like Surgeon General Commander where the tildes in the name cause search errors when looking up to a CSV export?

Not sure if this is your realm, but figured I'd check.

Thank you!

You're awesome! Thank you, Sebi! :-)

Hello, Sebi! I noticed that not one Strixhaven (main set) card with "//" in its name is showing an Average Price, while other cards in the set do.

Similarly, tokens from Extras: Commander Legends with "//" in their names do not have Average Prices, while other tokens from that set do.

Other sets that may have the same issue (to possibly help with debugging): Extras: Planechase Anthology, Extras: Modern Horizons Double Sided, Extras: Commander 2014 (only "//" ones affected), Zendikar Rising Commander (two cards with "//" in their names are affected), & Mystery Booster (two cards with "//" in their names are affected).

This feels odd that so many sets would be missing Average Pricing solely for cards with "//" in their names, so I'm calling it out in case it's a bug.

Thank you!

PS - Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition pathways and Amonkhet double-sided tokens don't have pricing, either, but those are so new that I'm not surprised.
PPS - Kaldheim and Zendikar Rising and other sets with "//" cards seem fine.
