hey folks, reading a link in an unrelated trade post got me to thinking...what are your most hated EDH cards?  the link listed cards that were "socially discouraged":

Identity Crisis
Mindslaver
Sorin Markov
Magister Sphinx
Myojin of Night's Reach
Obliterate
Sundering Titan
Iona, Shield of Emeria
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
Time Stretch

First, what do you think of this list, and second, do you have any you'd add or just hate seeing hit the table? 

I personally don't mind any of these cards aside from Mindslaver and Sundering Titan, and think a Seedborn Muse is considerably more abusable (of course it is in every deck I have that runs green at all)

Thoughts?

an EDH player here or there might be interested, they are playable in that format.

I'd be weary of calling them Promos, though...could give the impression that the card is legal in regular formats, but a promo version.

How about a simple feature on this site that gives you the option to use mtgo pricing for trades instead, as well as adding MTGO as a choice for card description?  Only issue there is there makes the fact that you cannot see card edition on the trade screen more prevalent than ever.

Flickering without Restoration Angel makes it rain on my insides sad

She has good evasion due to flying, and can therefore block the horde of AVR fliers.  While still cmc 4, it's a soft 4 since you only need one white to get her out.  Slight bit tougher with the Elk if you having an uneven color pull.

Or did I miss somewhere where she was put in earlier in the thread..?

You could buy a house for 40 dollars in Ethiopia, so is the world we are imagining Earth?  Or just Africa?   Some guy was looking to trade for Camels in a different thread, maybe 40 dollars worth.  It's like saying he wants 50 dollars worth in trade, but in this case, he may want to trade at 40 dollars.  He just likes Camels is the important thing I think to take away from this.

all of the current Commander decks should be out of print at this point unless Wizards decides to reprint them..unlikely as Planechase 2012 is ramping up.  Going to be hard to find anything other than a few here and there.  Unless, of course, you are willing to pay a little extra (in money or trade value).

Not sure how anyone could get pissy about sending first if their rating is lower - it is the site's policy. When I was first on here, a couple of different members mentioned the site policy and I didn't have any problem with it..if someone does, then you probably shouldn't trade with them to begin with.

If you are still wanting to send simultaneously, one thing I've been able to do is use the policy of asking for (and giving) delivery confirmation for anything over 25 in trade.  Then you can simply get the delivery confirmation first if you are uncomfortable, wait a day and check to make sure it is on its way.  At least there is some assurance when you can check on the package.

One more thing to anyone who backhandedly (or openly) harshes on a person that posts a thief or extremely poor sport on the forum.  That's what forums are for.  If we do not, as a community, show we are not going to tolerate that behavior, then it we are condoning it.  If someone stole money out of a wallet, it would surely be reported.  Well, MTG cards have monetary value - so it is money that is being stolen and should be treated as such.

kissmy there are a lot better generals for that deck than LoT...Traximundar is pretty awesome, for instance.   LoT is major card disadvantage and he doesn't have any evasion, he's going to get killed over and over.   Also if you are going to have that color set in a zombie deck, well then you MUST include Unscythe, Killer of Kings (equipment) - hopefully you have!

Well, I've decided to own a JTMS and I don't want to pay cash for it.  Have lots of goodies that could go 2-for-1s and even a few cards that would need some help from the trader in addition to JTMS to equal out a trade. 

For trade are: a Force of Will, Tarmogoyf, tons of shocklands, Mox Diamond(s), tons of Standard, etc etc.  If you are looking for Standard stuff, I can get anything within a week that I don't have if you are willing to wait a few days.

if you post all of the stuff you are looking for, folks would be willing to weed through and find it.  Otherwise, the back and forth that will have to occur to figure out exactly what you're looking for vs. what you have on any decklist will put a lot of traders off.
