This does not seem to be the case though, as they actively cancelled the trade.

I've got a bunch of commons/uncommons from 3rd, 4th, chronicles, fallen empires, the dark, ice age and some others in all colors... Are you buying in bulk or are you looking for anything in particular?

@darcet - I think I know Don from playing at the Hub haha, small world...

I'm in no rush but I have been trading for a while and have accumulated a fair amount of staples, but not the expensive ones. The MTGS article was very helpful and some of the things I took away were to not spend money on packs but use that money to invest in staples. Another take away is to attempt to *predict* what to hold onto for long term financial increase which seems to be mostly luck driven, so I'm breaking out my rabbit's foot. Other than that, trading in for credit seems like the best short term option.

Thanks all for helping a legacy noob out...

I'm considering starting to play legacy but don't have much staples, particularly the *expensive* ones. My play style is typically draw-go control and many of the staples are $60+ including JTMS, FoW, and revised dual lands.

What is the best way to acquire legacy staples without breaking the bank? Trading up might be possible if I give up tons of stuff in high demand. Selling to buyers such as Channel Fireball for credit could go along way. Are there other, or better options?

I'm interested in the top and mesa, let me know if you see anything you like.
