I cracked 7 mythics in my MBS box.

You could just use zombie apocalypse to return all your zombies from the graveyard to play.  It's still a powerful effect, killing humans is just the cherry on top.

There is not a way to do that other than manually.  For newer members to the site, be aware that you can add items to your tradelist and they will be automatically added to your inventory at the same time.  It's the easiest way to fill both.

I got a chance to unveil these shenanigans and my first handful of games with this deck went pretty well.  I did bring the land count down to 22 before I even started but still managed to flood 4 out of 6 games.  I realized that 4x Birds of Paradise, 4x Llanowar Elves and 3x Cultivate was a little much; even with only 22 lands.

I felt like the deck did a pretty solid job of controlling the field but my regular playgroup is all veterans and excellent deck builders; they didn't let me keep any hard locks on the board.  I found myself constantly wanting a way to maintain control or, even better, win the damn game.  I might bump the Asceticism count to 4 because they really are that important in this deck.  Also, I will drop the aforementioned elves and replace them with some other effect that does 1 damage on command.  Spikeshot Elder comes to mind but I would love suggestions.

I want to keep the targetting effects to strictly damage effects so that they play nice with both Horobi and DPoR.  I would honestly like ones that are free or cost 1 mana but I'm not sure that's an option.  What's out there that I can use?

Also, not once was I able to burn people out because ALL of my burn went to creature removal.  Suddenly my win condition shifted from "pretty much my entire deck" to "Olivia and 2 titans".  Eww...  Anyone have any thoughts on a win condition?

That was a dumb statement; I was tired...

I would go with the zombpocalypse, living death only works if you keep the opponents graveyard clear and there's nothing in the deck to do that unless you run Withered Wretch which would require an expensive land base again sad

We each have about $100 of stuff the other wants but I don't know what your needs are currently.  Want to throw a trade together based on what you're currently chasing?  The only thing from your list above I have for trade is Defense of the Heart but I also have some of the other high dollar cards on your tradelist.

It's never really a question of right and wrong, it's about what's the most useful.  If you think the advanced search should be laid out differently don't be afraid to say so; you're probably not the only one.  I just wanted to make sure you knew that what you were after is possible.

The same goes for the default profile view.  I think it's awesome that you've shared your opinion on it and although I personally believe the majority of this sites users want the inventory to be invisible to the outside world that doesn't make me right.  The only way to know for sure is to speak your mind and see who agrees/disagrees.  You've done your part already wink

The awesome thing about Deckbox is that the site administrators are fairly responsive to their users.  They aren't necessarily fast but every day there are updates being created to enhance the site based primarily on forum posts like these.  If we all keep it up and I couldn't imagine the site not doing very well.

1) A card database search like or better than: (http://tappedout.net/). Right now I find myself using their site to find cards I can't really remember on here. The ability to search for more than one color type (such as search for Blue and Black zombie) would be really appreciated. Kinda like http://cardkingdom.com/ .

You should be able to find more than 1 color when you search; you just click more than one color to select multiples.  It's a little less obvious than the advanced search at CardKingdom but it also doesn't take up my entire monitor to use it wink

2) It makes sense to me that the default view for a users profile should be their inventory. I feel like I'm clicking too much with the current navigational setup.

Do you mean the screen you see when you first click in to a users profile or the default list in the trading opportunities area?  Either way, really, you might be in the minority there.  The intention of a persons inventory is for them to catalog and organize their cards, not to display what's there to the public (e.g. for trading).  There have even been a few requests to block the ability to see other peoples inventory (based on a setting) for various reasons and many are hopeful it is implemented.

Aside from that, or if I misunderstood your point, what else makes you feel like you click too much?

3) Some minor refinement of the side bar and top bar. I find myself getting confused with things like clicking for 'my friends' and the friends of the users page I'm on. I'll get used to it eventually, but it's a little confusing right now and it might hinder new users.

I absolutely agree with you on this; I oftentimes get confused as well and find myself wondering where all my trades went or why all my forum posts got marked as read only to remember that I'm not looking at my profile.  A visual clue here would be really nice!

I have played several variations of Zombie tribal decks; some for fun and some well tuned for tournament play.  I'm even running an EDH version right now and loving it.

I agree with pretty much everything TyWooOneTime said in his original response.  I have a few things I would add though.  Havengul Runebinder is counterproductive to the strategy TyWooOneTime suggested (which I think you should consider heavily).   Nested Ghoul is something you should build around and I don't think this is the right spot to do it, so, I would drop him as well.  I would also drop the Cellar Door; it's a mana sink and you'll most likely have better things to do.

I LOVE Highborn Ghoul but without a perfect land base you'll have to choose between him and Diregraf Captain.  Double black on turn 2 followed by a need for turn 3 blue is asking for trouble.  You should drop one or the other from the deck and the captain is a way better card, IMO.

I think, for now, you should focus on getting the Cemetery Reapers, Call to the Graves and Moan of the Unhalloweds into the deck as suggested. I would probably run 4, 3 and 3, respectively.  I would also make room for 3-4 Skinrenders by dropping the Havengul Runebinders, Nested Ghoul and potentially something else.  I would keep the Tragic Slips in, lots of removal is good for you.

lastly, the deck seems to lack a finisher; something to win the long game.  I would find room for 2x Zombie Apocalypse or Living Death so that you can trade your guys for theirs in combat knowing that you can bring yours back eventually.

But I'm thinking about taking him out given that he's a "lord" and not a zombie, so he doesn't get any of the bonuses and that slot would be much better filled with a Death Baron in BMW's deck.  It also means if you put Call to the Grave in, you'll end up having to sacrifice him.

If you check the actual page for Zombie Master you'll notice that he is, indeed, a zombie.  http://deckbox.org/mtg/Zombie%20Master

You're correct that he doesn't get any of his own bonuses but at least he sticks around when Call to the Grave hits the board.

I looked but I don't see anything I am chasing right now.  Our last trade was easy as pie, though, and if I see anything in the future I promise I'll make an offer.  Good luck!

Assuming all the trades go through I think I got everything already; that was fast!  Thanks everyone!

Sent you an Email with offer for the Ooze.

Got the e-mail.  Sorry, but my inventory is off limits.  Everything on my tradelist is 100% available though.  If you can't find something that works, that's OK.  I appreciate you taking the time to check.

That's one ooze down, still need 3 hierarchs and 1 more ooze.

If it makes you feel better I'll let you trade me a Scavenging Ooze at the Predator Ooze price, deal?

Hello traders!  I am desperately seeking 3x Noble Hierarch and 2x Scavenging Ooze.  Okay, not so desperately that I would buy them off of eBay but I would like to trade for them smile

Have a look at my tradelist (http://deckbox.org/sets/80751) and let me know if we can make a deal.

Thanks!

The titans will likely turn in to Olivia Voldarens once I get them since she can just win games on her own.  But, I hear you on the overkill part; they bring the top end of the curve up pretty high...

Good call on the 24 lands, I could probably pare that down to 22 and make room for 2 more spells although I don't know what yet.  I'm not sure how I feel about Worldly Tutor; it's a solid concept but I dislike announcing my intentions and my only truly desired target would be Horobi, Death's Wail.  I did have some Flametongue Kavus and Pyrokinesis' in my initial build...

Hello all, I wanted to post here a deck I recently built, just for fun.  In involves the hilarity that is Asceticism and Horobi, Death's Wail.  It also implements some redundancy with Death Pits of Rath and Goblin Sharpshooter.

In addition, it runs a heavy burn package so I can burn people out if am getting locked out of the combo.

What do you think?  Are there cards I should be running that I am not?  How do the counts look to you?

Here's the deck:  http://deckbox.org/sets/155598

EDIT: Pro Tip - include the link to the deck when you say you did...

I don't believe you can specify any deeper than the set.

woohoo!

I have hundreds of foil commons and uncommons that span the games history.  Let me know how many you need and I'll work something out.

Depending on my schedule and how long this sits on the "maybe" list I *might* tackle the diff tool on my own and just give it to you because I am a really nice guy. I know I'm super busy for at least the next 2-4 months.

Being both a M:tG nerd AND a software nerd I see a use case for deck versioning and a diff tool.  Here's what I had in mind:

Versioning - Just something simple.  Each deck would still be its own set but instead of making a new deck with the exact same name (or the same name plus a "v1.1" at the end) Deckbox would force the deck to have the same name and then add a "v1.1" to the end for me.  The existing deck would need a "Create new version" button that copied itself under *almost* the same name but incremented the version number (so v1.1 turn into v1.2 and v1.9 turns into v2.0, etc.)  Lastly, the most recent version would be the one visible in my deck list and older versions would be accessibly through some other means so that the decklist doesn't get cluttered.

Diff Tool - The ability to compare two decks to each other and have the differences automatically highlighted in some way.  For example, I want to see what's different between my version of B/W Tokens and my friends; or I want to see what I changed from version 1.0 of my deck to version 1.1.  Either way, I would need the ability to select two decks and then get back a view of what's different.  The ultimate display is up to you but most I've seen look similar to ,but nicer than, my crude outline below.

Creatures    9           Creatures  10
------------------    ------------------
4 Slag Fiend             3 Slag Fiend
4 Galvanoth               4 Galvanoth
1 Lightning Crafter      3 Lightning Crafter

I want to start by saying I do not represent this site in any way; this is simply my personal opinion as a software engineer and based on the actions of many other websites.

From a control perspective, user accounts are often "owned" by the site while the data inside of it belongs to you (sort of).  Facebook is a good example of this.

You could simply just delete all of your decks, inventory, tradelist and wishlist to get close to what you're after.  However, I doubt your profile will ever be able to be truly deleted since certain actions you may have taken (e.g. this forum post) are now part of the public domain.
