I have a lot of them when I tore apart a relentless rat edh deck. Be willing to trade them all.

Just out of curiosity, how did that deck play for you?

Bump!

Added some new cards and removed ones that I traded for. If anyone manages to come up with some of the more expensive cards (Tundra, Scrubland, Guardian Beast, etc.) then I can dip into my Inventory for trades, but I'm not willing to go that route for the sub $20 cards. Thanks!

Here is my current Wishlist, let me know if you want to do business. Thanks!

Good idea. I had to take my Lion's Eye Diamonds (and a pile of other things) out of my trade list, because anytime I posted on here asking for Standard trades, I would get besieged with trade requests that included all my most expensive Vintage cards.

Why couldn't you have a The Abyss instead? I want to make a Sen Triplets EDH deck sad

I somehow managed to not get a single Godless Shrine in my two boxes, but lots of the others... combined with some pre-orders I did. Would love to get all four Shrines off one person, so its taken care of in one shot, but I'll consider doing 1 for 1 if there is a decent offer. Also looking for Sublime Archangel x2.

OK, sounds fair. I'll start taking a look at your trade stuff, but I'm not going to start anything until late next week. I have to be out of town for work Mon-Thurs, so the last thing I want to do is finalize a trade and I can't send anything out until Friday.

I have a foil Omniscience. If you want to let me know what you value it at, I'll look for something(s) in your trade list and we can work something out.

I still think trades over a certain dollar value should require Delivery Confirmation. If you can't afford it (and it's like $1.50), then you should stick to local trading and leave online trading to the adults. The DC# would allow you to see, without fail, if they actually sent the cards when they said they did. If you look up the number and it says, "Electronic Shipping Info Received" for 2-3 days with no forward progress - you know they only registered the number and never sent it.

That bullshit gets them an immediate ding on the transaction.

Until now. Delivery confirmation... it's worth the money.

Just found this thread after searching "tlin". Same thing happened to me. We agreed to a trade about a month ago. We each marked our cards sent, but I never received his cards and he did not confirm that he received mine. Many messages and no response. I think the only thing I can do now is to leave negative feedback and cancel the trade.

... and file a mail fraud complaint?

How do you think people are able to keep getting away with shit like this? Easy, because they see no downside to scamming you. You send them cards, they send you nothing and your negative feedback means exactly Jack shit in the real world. Every single person in this thread should have already filed a mail fraud complaint and the dude in question, he should already be in talks with Postal Inspectors and facing a hefty fine for his repeated douchebaggery.

I figure I'd like to get $30 per pack (usually go for about $40 to $50).  These are unopened (I don't even have them in my possession yet) and untampered packs.  I will be accepting payment via Paypal only.  Shoot me a trade if you're interested!

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "untampered." I sort of thought that everyone, by now, was well aware that you could see through the wrapper of old set booster packs. Look at your Revised booster, see that strip of white across the top? That lines up almost perfectly with the card names inside. If memory serves me, the rare is the 3rd card from the top so just use a fingernail to pull down the first two inside, press the wrapper firmly up against the card and see what you got.

Odds are someone already did this before selling them to you.

Friends and I use to go to the mall, head to Toys R Us and snoop every booster in the box on the counter. What sucks is, we were far less interested in dual lands and always looking for that coveted Shivan Dragon.

I guess it would be implied that a good rating would be "Good packaging fitting of the scale of the trade" while a poor rating would be "Sending Workshops in a Ziploc Bag".

Yes, exactly that. So, sure, if you want to send $3-4 worth of cards in a regular envelop on the cheap, that's no big deal and still worth a 4-star rating. However, if you did the same thing with a Gaea's Cradle just because you're cheap and don't want to buck up the extra $2-3 for packaging and delivery confirmation, you get a 1-star... because you deserve it.

To me, this is a bit worrisome due to the following... Upon looking at Ichorclaw's profile there is absolutely NOTHING that jumps out at me as any sort of indicator of bad or even "iffy" trading history. All I see is "Feedback:+37 out of 38 completed mail trades" and the fact that he changed his status to read, "Family issues, no longer trading." I think this really illustrates that fact that we need to migrate towards a more detailed feedback system, one that's not just a simple top-level +/-1.

There should be ratings for how prompt someone is at sending out their cards, with a 5-star being the same/next day and a 1-star being a week later or... never.
There should be ratings for packaging, with a 5-star being in top-loaders in a bubble mailer and a 1-star being in a zip lock bag inside a regular envelop.
There should be ratings for communication, with 5-stars as all pertinent info provided and questions answered and 1-star being that you agreed on a trade then didn't hear from the guy again for 2-weeks.

These are the things I want to know when potentially trading with someone.

You should probably make it clear you mean the promo version and not just a set foil.

Done. Thanks!

I recently did an order from tcgplayer.com and, apparently when I hit the "Optimizer" button it switched my regulars to the textless promo version. I'm not a foil fan boy to begin with, I'm even less of a fan of this one because, without the text, I'll have to constantly look up what the card even does.

So, I'm looking to trade my two foil Cryptic Commands for two regular ones. Average price has them off by about a $1/each, so if anyone is interested in the swap I'll be happy to toss in an extra card to cover that 2-bucks. Let me know. Thanks.

EDIT: Clarity

Take a look, thanks.

Just FYI I have had the same issue. I actually ACCIDENTALY marked his trade complete (I had recieved 6 packages and was going through them) and then contacted him saying I hadn't actually received the card (I had 'received the card a scant 12 hours after he 'sent' it). He responded that that was OK and that it was on its way.

That was two weeks ago. Still no card. 8 bucks down the drain but hey, out of 66 trades that's not so poor.

People need to get rolling on their mail fraud reports. From everything I've read in this post, it seems like the dude in question has plenty of time to set up trades and converse on the front end of trades, then he flakes out on sending his cards and is spotty with communication afterwards. If he isn't busted for mail fraud he's going to continue to do this to people and if he feels like he's taking too much heat on his current screen name, I'm sure he'll have no problem creating a new one under a different email address to do the same shit over and over.

Report him.

I almost feel like delivery confirmation should be a requirement at this point, seriously. Enough with trying to get the cheapest shipping possible, especially if you're sending cards worth over $25. I don't care how poor you are. If you can afford to play Magic in the first place, then you can afford $3 for shipping of cards. If people are using DC, then there is none of the, "well, he said he sent it on the 7th, but I never got it, then he said he sent it on the 18th again..." bullshit. If you use DC, this is what you see on USPS.com:

Dispatched to Sort Facility
November 15, 2012, 6:20 pm WILMINGTON, DE 19801

Acceptance
November 15, 2012, 8:24 am WILMINGTON, DE 19801

It's accepted at the facility and then it's sent out. There is no issue of someone stringing you along with lies of sending it and not doing so. If they don't post a tracking number, they didn't send it. Then end.

Maybe you should take some time to update your deckbox list, considering you have no inventory, tradelist or wishlist established.

I feel like everyone is constantly trying to pay the cheapest shipping they can get away with. The USPS loses shit, they know this and that's why they offer INSURANCE... you know, that stuff that should really be called, "in case shit happens." When I do trades on here, I pay for insurance. I typically do it for about 125-150% of the value of the cards I'm sending so, if shit happens, I'll come out ahead.

It would have cost about $1.50 for insurance on those $30 in cards. Maybe think about it next time.
