That is fine. As it is now, adding them normally and going into the details to set the edition (one attribute) is actually less work than adding them advanced and going into the details to unset the language and condition (two attributes). :-)

Topic: bug report - advanced add forces all options (2 replies, posted in Site Discussion)
In the advanced card add tab, there is no empty option in the dropdowns for edition, condition, and language. So for instance it is impossible for me to add just the edition without also having to set the condition and language to something even though those last two options are too granular for my tracking purposes.

For the products that have set decklists and which people are very likely to buy at once instead of card-by-card, I think it would be a useful feature to be able to quickly add every card in that set.

I think a useful feature would be that the person who proposes a trade gets an email confirmation of the details of the trade. I assume the recipient gets such an email. In the case where the recipient modifies the trade and sends it back to the first person, I can't find a way for the first person to see what the details of the original proposal were.

Topic: question about card order and/or feature request (1 replies, posted in Site Discussion)
When viewing another user's profile page, what is the default ordering of the trading opportunities columns? I can't make out any rhyme or reason to how the cards are listed.
I also think it would be helpful to list the card prices in addition to the names and quantity desired. Right now I have to open up the card page of every card on the list to figure out if a trade is even viable. If that were added, then sorting those columns by price would also be very desirable.

Ah, I see it now. And comparing against someone's inventory is good too. I also hadn't noticed that you could go to the specific card pages and see people who have/want that card from there. That makes finding potential trades much easier than hunting through users' profiles.

Re: Tribal Flames (Invasion) (2 replies, posted in Site Discussion)
Tribal Flames is present for Invasion, Time Spiral, and one of the Duel Decks. See the card's page at http://deckbox.org/mtg/Tribal%20Flames . I'm guessing you might be trying to set the edition when you're adding cards, which is broken for Time Spiral Timeshifted cards, http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=747 . In any event, you can add it and then set the older-than-Time-Spiral edition afterwards as a workaround.

No, I want to see all cards from the block and see how many I have and how many I still miss to have the full cards (x4 in my case)
Just select the three editions in the block and then click on the inventory count column to sort. That will quickly give you the rows of the cards in the block for which you have less than 4.

On the topic, Kalibr, the 'total number of cards in decks' column is on the todo list, seems many people want it.
For such a card-level column showing how many are in use to be most useful I can see it being worth making a deck-level flag for decks that are currently put together (as opposed to ones that have been disassembled or are just theoretical decklists).

I think it may be specific to the Time Spiral Timeshifted cards. I haven't found any broken examples that weren't reprinted then.
Yep, the Timeshifted cards definitely cause the dropdown to truncate the editions early. I was looking for a card that has been reprinted in a main set since TSP Timeshifted and found Dragon Whelp. It shows M2010 and Time Spiral and then stops.

Re: Card sorting (the paper kind) and deck construction tips (10 replies, posted in General Discussion)
First, I sort everything by what it costs to cast - each of the five colors, colorless, multicolor, land, and basic land. When building a deck, I'm always going to know what mana I'm going to have and therefore which cards can be ignored. Hybrid cards, split cards, and now phyrexian mana make things complicated. The ones that ultimately require multicolor mana (like Jund Hackblade) I mix in with the other multicolor cards. Those that can be entirely one color mana (like Kitchen Finks) ... they get their own special section. Those that can even be colorless (like Beseech the Queen, Reaper King, or phyrexian mana) ... also separate.
After that I sort everything by creatures and non-creatures which leads to around a 50/50 split, and then everything sorted alphabetically. It's all a big hassle the very first time, but after that it's very easy to find specific cards. I wouldn't really sort by edition. If I'm looking for a Disenchant, I don't want to have to potentially look in multiple different spots.
If you're interested in trading with people, you're going to want to sort out your rares and your very best uncommons for them to look through.

In the third tab when adding cards which allows you to specifiy attributes of the individual cards you are importing, only the most recent edition a card was printed in is shown in the dropdown. For instance, Disenchant only shows Time Spiral.

When viewing the inventory screen, if I have a card showing a count of 4 in my inventory and 4 on the wishlist, and if I reduce the wishlist count, the red exclamation point circle appears with the warning "you have detailed information on more than X cards. click to fix." This warning should appear only when reducing the # of inventory cards not wishlist cards.
Refreshing the page causes the warning to disappear.

When searching for rarity and edition (say rare and Magic 2011) the results seem to search all cards in that set and include cards if they were rare in any *other* set regardless of the rarity in M11. So Serra Angel is uncommon in M11 but was rare in 7th through 10th edition.

Topic: feature request: wishlist items tied to certain decks (0 replies, posted in Site Discussion)
As you come across cards and add them to your wishlist thinking "this would be good in deck X", it would be useful to record that somehow. Eventually a wishlist can become very large and you don't always remember why you might have added a certain card. I'd also sometimes like to just work on improving a certain deck and see what cards I might have tagged as being of interest in the past.

Re: feature request: some edition icon colors not broken down by rarity (2 replies, posted in Site Discussion)
All sets that have rarities on gatherer, have rarities here as well.
Chronicles did not have a standard rarity distribution, like all other sets, hence they are all marked with a common symbol. For more info, see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronicles stribution.
Unglued, as an un-set is... well, not really a proper set
Ah ... I did not realize the icons were the same ones used on wizards' site or that Chronicles had a strange rarity system.
