Website is nearly unusable as is...

This is the most overreactive statement Ive seen. The fact that all your cards and decks are still listed and stored in once place means nothing? Trading didnt stop. Is it really that much extra work to have an extra browser window open next to deckbox to TCG or SCG or ebay or mtgprice or wherever to do a quick search of the current price of a card? Sure this is an extra step in the process but honestly, if you are that concerned about having the most current price of a card when completing a trade/sale, this should be something done regardless if a price generated automatically or an idea in your head on how much its worth.

Im honestly shocked by the amount of negativity and the lack of patience some people have.

This particular forum is different from other group forums. Instead of it being its own seperate entity (similiar to how the Trading forum and the reddit trading group forum are 2 different forums) this forum is the main selling and buying forum and joining the group will now will allow your profile to have the notfication bubble next to the "MTG Market" on your profile to show when new posts are added.

The Forum is now open!

Your store policies should include things like how you package and ship your cards (ie use of tracking automatic on certain number of cards purchased or combined shipping on seperate orders), how long it will take you to process an order once payment clears, how long your willing to wait for payment before you cancel the order or move to dispute and return / refund policies. Pretty much anything you want to the buyer to consider and be aware of when the purchase from you.

As for the min amount purchase, Im not sure if there is an actual feature that can be set but that is something your should be sure to disclose as a "store policy" like the examples above.

This issue appears on mine. If you sort my inventory by Edition, and then scroll to the 3rd page, I have a Springleaf drum thats marked from Lorywn but its being sorted with Born of the Gods cards.

I share these exact same sentiments. Compared to the age of MTG Im a relative newbie but I was fortunate enough to start before modern and see the figurative "change of guard" when comes to Modern taking over for Legacy. The article is correct that this is not overnight take over. In fact its probably not a next 2 year take over, but when consider how much MTG has grown popularity in just the last 3 years since Modern's inception and the declining supply of Legacy staples, it only stands to reason that that there are more pople willing to settle for playing Modern, where the cards are far easier to aquire play with.

Thanks for your reply, but I have to say this rule will discourage people from selling expensive cards here. A very simple solution to the returns problem is to make the buyer responsible for them. Buyer must pay shipping and provide proof of delivery, refund will only be given when cards are returned,  no fees taken. Making buyers responsible for returns will discourage frivolous returns. These rules would also be in line with every other mtg site, trading, vending, etc out there.

One more question: what will the deckbox marketplace do that no other site does? How will it be better for sellers than Motl, mtgsalvation, facebook, eBay, tcgplayer? I'm still paying 10% fees, is there any incentive to selling here other than saving 3%?

To be fair, your last question will be one that only time and actual involvement will tell. Sure, if you compare this selling feature to  those other sites that are already established in that front, its going to be hard to argue to pick the new when you have the old.

Also all those sites you listed (aside from TCG) do not have the interface that deckbox does nor the complete functionality of being able to manage your entire collection, build decks, trade and now sell all in one place. I understand your question was in regards to selling but my point is for some this will complete the package of having everything and doing everything on one site opposed to many.

Kinda along the same lines as Ducky, but every now then when the wife and I would go to Target (or Wal-Mart) we pick up and 3 packs and do a "pack war" to see who opened the 3rd. Now mind you when I say "pack war" its where we open the pack, throwout the token and land, shuffle them up and then each of us flips over the top card. Highest Converted Mana Cost win the round. Who ever has has the bigger pile wins the war. (I tried teaching her how to actually play magic and this was closest I think were gonna ever get to her and I playing it the right way.) So we buy 3 RTR packs and go home. We start the "war" and start flipping the cards and she takes a commanding lead, her rare being Nercopolis Regent and mine being Palisade Giant so no win there and Ive given up hope...

Until I flip the last card in the pack...

Foil Deathrite Shaman...

She may have won this battle but I won the WAR smile

And now introducing the new feature of Deckbox...See here (http://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=19133)

Forum opening soon to follow.

I second TRZ's suggestions. I would also considering throwing in a Lightning Bolt or 2 as a means to get the final damage in if you cant get your storm count high enough or deal with a "Problem" creature...Looking at you THALIA...

I have some Dissolves and possibly an Epic Experiment, Aetherize and Negates. Ill look and send you a trade

I would recommend Spreading Seas over Stratus Walk or Sea's Claim. I play Modern Merfolk (nicknamed "No Merfolkin Way") and even with the other cards being strong in the deck, Spreading Seas does SO MUCH work , its literally uncuttable 9 out of 10 matchups. Cutting off a color for an opponent, draw you a card, ups devotion (for some decks) AND makes your guys unblockable with Master of the Pearl Trident or Lord of Atlantis this card is the most underated card you could use.

I would expect to have the buy send via paypal gift FIRST before actually sendint the cards if that is what you mean. You should make it clear that if your expect payment via paypal gift unless the buyer wants to then also cover that other fee to make sure they are covered. Most people however that sell cards on sites like this (read non-commerical sites like eBay) are ok with using gift since the transaction happens faster.

Also what bactgudz said works too...

So a friend of mine is looking high and low for Kozliek, Butcher of truth. Since he really only plays casual EDH, he gave me a some of his higher end Standard/Modern Cards to try and see if I can make a deal for. Other offers and interersts are fine but he really wants a Koz so if you are interested Ill let him take a look through your lists and see what we can make work otherwise. Aside from the Koz, pretty much anything that can be used in EDH is he might want to so feel free to throw out offers.
All the cards are no worse then very LIGHT lp and I can further verify should you wish. I have the cards in hand, they just arent in any of my lists yet, I will add them as offers are made.

Foil Linvala, Keeper of Silence (He would greatly prefer to sell first unless a really good deal become avaiable)
Domri Rade
Voice of Resurgence
Descretion Demon
Boros Reckoner
Stormbreath Dragon
Thundermaw Hellkite
Thoughtseize (Theros)
Blood Baron of Viskopa
2x Dragonmaster Outcast
Mistbind Clique
2x Ash Zealot
2x Detention Sphere

Boom...

Shocka...

Q1: You will be notified via email that money has been added to your paypal account to which you can then transfer to your bank account or leave there and use like credit.

Q2: If people send money to you via Paypal gift, there is no charge to either buyer or seller. However doing it this way means that paypal is then not responsible to reimburse should a problem arise. If the money is sent via Paypal service, the seller is usually charged a 4% percent fee based on the total in order to recieve the money. The later is how eBay sales are often facilitated.

Q3: Once a price is agreed upon, the only thing you as the seller need to provide to the buyer is your paypal user name, which is usually your email. Depending on how they send (paypal gift or service) will determine how long it takes to process and get deposited to you (paypal gift takes 5 minutes where service can take about an hour)

Hope this helps.

HE IS THE KING KITTY OF KNIGHTS!!

Is it just this stuff for sale or are things from your tradelist for sale?

Honestly tho I dont see them following in the same pattern as Goyf or Bob because of availbility of printing. Goyf was a rare that from a poorly opened set (Futuresight) that got made into a mythic of a highly wanted and limited printed set (Modern Masters). Which means that unless they decide to make make Fetchlands mythic rare (which would be insane but I wont put anything past WoTC) they should in theory be easier to pull than a Goyf in a set. Also WoTC likes to print things in complete cycles so if they reprinted the Zen fetches, it would only make sense that they the ONS would get thrown in there as well. So in theory, as long they dont get reprinted en mass in a limited print run set like MM2 (Althought Ive heard rumblings of them in Conspiracy) we should see a reprint sooner rather than later once the shocks rotate out of standard.

I voted for 0 namely cause Im exactly in the same boat as you with regards to the level of play of LGS and me only playing more EDH than Modern most of the time anyway. I have one foil of each Zen Fetch for EDH and for the time being I can live with just jamming those in a modern deck if it really needs color fixing.

Personally, I would look to sell and get what you can for them. Obviously not for pennies but with Modern taking off and Fetches being the finicial gateway to get into the format for some decks, its only matter of WHEN they will get reprinted rather than IF. So for me, Im perfectly happy running my Mono Blue Merfolf deck in modern until they get reprinted and I can get them cheaper.
