I wouldn't say that full-on disabling it is necessarily the way to go, although I do agree that something should be done.  I only say that it shouldn't be disabled because some people are actually civil and realize that things happen/come up and trades sometimes need to be canceled with no hard feelings.

Maybe changing it to a "Request to Cancel" after everything is confirmed, and then the other party has to agree to cancel it.  That way it is the best of both worlds; you can still cancel if both parties agree, but it stops a lot of the hullabaloo that people are going through.

Yeah, you have only like 15 cards that are worth more than $1, so you probably wouldn't get much for it beyond the value of those and then maybe a little bit.

I have two Gold Border Wastelands lying around.  Did you only need one of each, or would you like both?  And what do you value them at?

Huntmaster and Domri are gone now.  Karn is still around and looking for a home, also added Aurelia, the Warleader.

The issue is that Deckbox can only realistically update their prices every so often because they have to pull them all from TCGPlayer individually, and can't keep up with quick, real-time fluctuations.  It's not necessarily an issue with Deckbox, but rather the nature of the market.  It's really not that much different than looking at card prices on Thursday, and then going to FNM to trade not knowing that a certain card jumped up in price.

I agree that there are probably some people who take advantage of this, which is unfortunate that people attempt to pull that kind of stuff, but some of it might be entirely unintentional and they're just going for current popular cards that happen to be jumping around in price.

That being said, I'm not sure how often Deckbox updates its prices, but I think it is daily.  And I'm not entirely sure how often it is capable of doing so, but maybe it could limit the impact of additional queries by updating more often, but those additional updates are only for the most recent few sets that tend to fluctuate more.

Is it your trades link on your profile that says there is an unread message, or an individual trade that says it?

If it's the former, make sure you check your cancelled trades as well since they aren't quite as obvious.

I've been thinking quite a bit about the possibility for a deck like this ever since I saw the spoiler for Hellkite Tyrant.  Originally I had planned on just doing a straight on Keyrune ramp into the Tyrant, but realized that there really wasn't enough card draw to equal out how quickly I'd be able to play out all of my keyrunes.  Thought about using a bunch of blue just to add in some additional card draw, but that seemed way too boring, so I took things in a bit of a different direction.

For anybody familiar with the Eggs decks, it is pretty similar in concept, I'm just more restricted because it's Standard.  Here the idea is to make use of those mana producing keyrunes and Burning-Tree Emissary, ETB drawing effects (Prophetic Prism, Elvish Visionary, Abundant Growth) and combine that with Trading Post and Faith's Reward to recursively sacrifice my entire board, multiple times and quickly draw through my entire deck in order to get as many artifacts as I can into play and hopefully win with the Hellkite Tyrant, or Door to Nothingness if I can get the mana, or just overwhelming with keyrune attacks and other such things.

Some fun things you can do with these cards include.....
Using Ghost Quarter to destroy your own land that was enchanted with Abundant Growth to search up another one, and then get both lands and the enchantment back with Faith's Reward, plus a card draw from Abundant Growth.

Tap two artifacts to activate Clock of Omens ability, targeting Trading Post while it is untapped, and in response tap it to sacrifice one of those artifacts for a card draw, essentially leaving Trading Post untapped after both abilities resolve.

Sacrifice Burning-Tree Emissary to Trading Post to return an artifact to your hand, use Faith's Reward to return it (and a hopefully a bunch of other stuff to play) and get a couple free mana from BTE's ETB (that's a fun set of acronyms).

There's all kinds of interesting combinations that you can pull off.

Here is the current decklist: Standard Eggs

Right now I'm quite a long ways over 60 cards, but my issue is trying to decide if that is necessary or not.  If I want to ever get 20 Artifacts into play, I'm gonna want far more than 20 in my deck, and I have a handfull of other cards that need to be in the deck to make it anywhere near viable in this form.

What I'm looking for is some help in figuring out the actual card limit I need to set, any things that I should maybe remove and maybe even some interesting additions that I may have missed in my search.  (And possibly a better name)  I think this could be a really fun deck to play, and I'm hoping you guys can help me finalize my list so that I can break back into FNM in style!

Thanks!

Ok so you exclude the corner cases, and default the rest..... what's so hard about that?

How do you define those corner cases automatically when they don't know about the other editions?

just going off the price that deckbox shows.

You can change the price that Deckbox shows.  Some people always look at the TCGPlayer Min and some look at the Average.  The default is Average, so I'm assuming that is the one you're talking about.

frankenskid wrote:

I definitely agree and was going to post something similar for single edition cards.... I mean if there is only one edition, why not default to the only edition it can be?

The reason that they can't just default right now is because there is a definite chance that they don't have all of the editions if the edition isn't listed in Gatherer (there are quite a few that aren't).  In general, if you aren't guaranteed to know that there is only one edition, then it isn't really the right thing to do to default it, because that could just cause things to be mislabeled in people's inventories.

You're getting exactly what you requested.  You asked for all cards that were printed in Gatecrash.  If you only want the ones you own from Gatecrash then use the Edition Owned filter instead.

It already splits cards into separate rows for different Sets, Conditions, Languages, Foil, etc. What's adding another field that does this? This would be an optional field, so you wouldn't need to enter it for trades, cards where you just don't know, etc. It would mainly be for tracking the price paid for items you do know. I think it'd be useful, and shouldn't be too difficult, and not require much more storage. I currently need to keep a separate spreadsheet for this that would no longer be required if Deckbox had this data.

Yes, it does do that separation already, to an extent.  But right now it can at least group the items.

For instance, if you have 4 Geist of Sait Trafts with all of the same attributes (Language, Condition, etc.), currently you just have one row sitting out in the database that says, "You have 4 cards exactly like this."  If you wanted to track how much you paid for each of those, then you'd instead need to have 4 separate rows in the database to track the price that you paid for each individually, essentially quadrupling the amount of data stored.

In the deck, go to View > Print.  Copy that list.

Go to your Inventory/Tradelist/Wishlist and go to Import > Card List.  Paste in the list.  Click Import.

There's been a lot of interest in both Karn and Huntmaster.  I'll be looking through lists and stuff throughout the day.

I have some cards that I wouldn't mind trading off, like
Karn Liberated
Jace, Memory Adept
Garruk, Primal Hunter
Angel of Serenity
Aurelia, the Warleader

Even have some odds and ends stuff, like a Foil Gush.

I'm thinking about trying my hand at Legacy Manaless Dredge, so I'm looking to trade for some of those cards, like:
Bridge from Below
Narcomoeba
Ichorid
Street Wraith
Cabal Therapy
Phantasmagorian
And tons more.....

And I'm always looking for random stuff for EDH.  Always willing to dig through a tradelist if you see something you want, just let me know!

Thanks!

Currently Deckbox does not track most token cards, because they are not listed in Gatherer.

A few thoughts:
1) Why are you sitting on Verdicts without some Unsummon effects?  It strikes me as though wiping the board is the last thing you'd want to do, given that your guys are hexproof and potentially unblockable (i.e. Invisible Stalker).

Personally, I think it would be hilarious if you could throw down a Supreme Verdict followed by a Faith's Reward.

Now I almost want to make a ramp deck that specifically goes for the Planar Cleansing/Faith's Reward pair.

Picked Orzhov.  Got lucky pulls--two Gideon and two Obzedat.  I'll let you know how it turns out.

Lucky?  Lucky?!  There has to be a stronger word for that......

The best thing I pulled was a Stomping Ground.  Also got a High Priest of Penance, but that was the two colors that I didn't play and not worth nearly all that much.

That being said though, I had a pretty solid Simic-Gruul build that used Simic for ramp and stall and Gruul for some great offense.  I went 4-1, 3rd place overall.  Here's my build if anyone cares to take a gander.  This was only my second prerelease and at a new shop, so I was a little disappointed to hear that the way they were handling prizes didn't benefit me at all for winning, they just gave everybody 2 packs of GTC; the only thing I got for getting 3rd was some sleeves.  Oh well, still had a great time.

Hope everybody else had an equally good time!

Welcome aboard!

I'm actually really liking all of the guilds this time around, so I don't really know what I want to play and will probably be happy with whatever happens to be available.  Although, I will probably try to go Simic because I need some of those cards for some EDH decks, and I really want the promo Fathom Mage because I love the art.

Additionally, if you don't want this to happen, if you go to your forum profile, and then to Settings, you can uncheck the setting to auto-subscribe you to threads that you post in.

Weeks upon weeks.  I have 10,000+ cards cataloged, and I'm still not even close to done.

Gatecrash is in Gatherer now.

Hopefully we'll see it on Deckbox soon.  Thanks!

You are searching for the backside of a flip card.  The front side is called Chosen of Markov, and it is in the database.
