Can we get the prices on all of the Urza lands fixed? The chronicles and antiquities versions have been incorrect for years.

I acquired a bunch of NM Unlimited cards right out of their boxes. The only spicy thing in there was a Bayou. I think it's gradeable but I'm not a professional grader.

I'd like to either turn it + some other revised duals that I have into something spicy and exciting (played Power, etc), or trade it down for Value and a Revised Volcanic Island.

All of the NM unlimited cards I got are listed as such in my inventory should those also be of interest.

I also have three not-NM unlimited starter boxes (the boxes are empty) if those are of interest as well.

Would be doable, but less useful I think since sadly we don't save the card prices as they were at the time the trade was made.

Which would also be awesome if it were possible.

One thing that I do, though, is to periodically go back and look at trades that were usually made at even-value, and see which trades I've done well on and which I haven't. If we could manually export historical trades at current prices, then like, say, once a month, we could see which trades were going up or down in relative value. Not sure if anyone else does that though. I try to look at my historical trades to learn about future trends. and to sometimes smack my head for being dumb smile

Awesome, thanks Sebi!

Since Summer Magic was added, is there any chance to add "alternate 4th edition"?

I do read the forum guys, I just don't have the time to write.

Pricing is always a pain point and very frustrating for me too to fix. It is very time consuming and many times I have to do manual adjustments to specific cards. Sometimes I simply do not have the time to go through them.

I am still on holiday right now and because of that fixes are slow, I am still keeping on top of support requests / tickets, and trying to reply & moderate on all trade disputes.

I will try to check the reported pricing issues soon.

Understood. I try to report them when I can, but its hard to keep submitting them when they don't get fixed promptly. For example the antiquities urza lands have been mispriced for a couple of years at least.

I would certainly be willing to make adjustments directly (or do so in a testing environment for you to approve) if you were interested. I'm sure many more of us here would be willing to help crowdsource some of the basic ongoing maintenance. Thanks as always for your support and hard work.

Are there any admins that can even acknowledge this issue? it's been going on for several months; most of the prices are unfixed, many are getting worse, and there's been 0 response from anyone. I love this place but I really don't think that new features are more important than getting prices right.

@Sebi - can you give an update on the state of pricing issues? I've submitted a number of price discrepancies through the site, and also posted in the thread, but haven't seen them resolved. A lot of older commons and uncommons are off. Thanks!

The prices seem quite accurate for Pauper staples. Sometimes they are off by 5% or 10% or even 15% but I consider that acceptable variation between markets. In aggregate it seems pretty good.

Here's a list of common and uncommon cards that seem inexplicably out of whack to me:
Mystic Remora
Duress (US)
Butcher's Cleaver
Incinerate (IA)
Skittering Skirge
Rootwater Commando
Snow Devil
Fireslinger
Serene heart

A lot of random commons that should be 5 cents are 50 cents+ like 5th edition unsummon, M12 Rusted sentinel.

Things are definitely worse than they used to be. The complete lack of acknowledgement from the admins make it all the more frustrating.

can we get the variants of cards like very cryptic command from Unstable added? Thanks!

I know that's what has been said in the past. I'm skeptical that the deckbox marketplace has much of an impact on prices though -- a lot of cards don't even have any cards listed -- but their prices still move. I always assumed it was (mostly) using Amazon pricing and some blend of other APIs (not sure what else is out there). Supposedly it doesn't use TCGplayer pricing at all, at least not directly, but I can't help but wonder if it somehow links to it indirectly or unintentionally through some other party. The prices here definitely move every day, and 98% of the time they seem pretty accurate -- much more accurate than could be explained by relying heavily on the deckbox marketplace.

The prices here seem to be losing their accuracy. Mystic Remora, supreme verdict, AQ urza lands, UL Duress, many Unlimited cards like Nevinyrral's disk are all out of whack, most of which have been for a while. I've also seen some cards (also mostly unlimited and antiquities it seems) be very slow to adapt. Gauntlet of might, and the mishra's factories come to mind -- they were quite inaccurate for at least a year. The AQ tron lands are still that way. I try to report the pricing errors, but that doesn't usually seem to have an impact. I think most folks here either don't notice, or gave up on trying to do anything. I wish Sebi would at least discuss it, if not fix it.

Still looking for more if anyone else out there has some to trade/sell.

Hi. I'm working on making some cube(s) based on past masters sets. Specifically Eternal masters, Iconic Masters, and Masters 25.

For those of you that have cracked boxes or drafted a lot and have your leftover chaff, I'm willing to trade for it or buy it. Looking to value it at greater than $10/1000 (bulk rate), but below retail. Shoot me a message if you're interested.

I picked up bunch of Japanese Crystalline Crawlers at a discount and I'm looking to trade them into just about anything. I've got lots of stuff on my wishlist, including a lot of bulk commons and misc stuff, so there's probably plenty on there you can offer. I'll also take just about any card over $2 even if it's not on my wishlist. Turns out these are harder to move than I thought, so I'd like to unload some of them.

I've got a chalice of the void, power artifact, tundra, 4x badlands, scrubland, and bayou as some higher value cards I'd be willing to trade. Let me know if you're interested or have something more specific in mind.

Thanks for fixing the invocation defaults! Greatly appreciated Sebi.

I Do appreciate the new cards and all but what about the Invocation pricing, shouldn't that come first?

Can we also make it so that the invocations don't show up as the default version in inventory and decks?

The masterpieces are showing up as the default view for cards without a version specified (or as cards in a deck). This is kind of annoying since they all have no price currently, and at some point will probably have a very high price, both of which throw off their value in inventory and cost for a deck. Can we make the default edition for unspecified cards a non-masterpiece or non-special-set version?

I also just wanted to note that the value that can be received in trades on the trading opportunities page doesn't always seem to be right. For example, there are folks with whom I can trade a large number of (mostly small cards), for $30+ dollars in value, but shows as $0 on the trading opportunities page.

Here are the photos as well if anyone's interested: http://imgur.com/a/vO76Z

Hi folks,

I have a couple of extra revised duals I'm looking to trade for other duals and/or KTK fetches.

I have:

  • 1 Tundra

  • 1 Bayou

  • 4 Badlands

  • 2 Scrubland

I need:

  • All KTK fetches

  • 1 Volcanic Island

  • 1 Underground Sea

The duals aren't currently on my tradelist but will make them available if we can agree. Hopefully someone's interested.

Many basic land cards were indeed also not properly priced earlier and many editions have been adjusted. Since people have a lot of them this accounts for an increase as well.

I like the last idea settlerjoe, to provide more information in the total value field. What would you think would be useful?

Total value as it is now, and total value of cards worth > 30 cents, perhaps? Or 50 cents?

Some lands are quite valuable, like the full arts, many promos etc.

One thing I had sort of been doing before was back when the minimum price for a card was 10 cents (is that still the case?) I'd look at the value over 10 cents. E.g. 100 commons each priced at 11 cents would be "worth" $1 (100 x .01) rather than $11. You could also maybe add a filter that says "value of all cards worth more than X" where X is a user input.

One thing I'd LOVE, and would probably actually pay for, is collection value tracking over time. I track a bunch of stuff in a spreadsheet, including the value gained/lost on trades, that I'd love to see on the site. My card collection is sort of like a "portfolio" of stocks. I make trades and acquisitions and I'd like to be able to track it's performance over time. I'm not sure if the amount of work that would take is worth it since I'm probably in the minority here. Mainly, my interest in the pricing was just to understand if my portfolio really went up, or if it's just a change in the algorithm.

I saw the world champion decks had odd prices, but that wasn't the cause of my own inventory swing because I didn't have any in there.

As I've looked around, it looks like most of the change was driven by cards that were previously 10 cents that are now worth more like 15-20 cents. Not a big deal for most people, but I have like 30,000 cards, most of which are common and uncommon, so an increase in like 25% of the value on my 10-cent common cards leads to a big jump in my total inventory value. I'm ok with the valuation if that's the new normal and if we think it's more accurate -- I just wanted to understand if this was intended to be permanent, and if there was any way to see which cards saw the biggest changes -- to help build confidence in the new pricing and see if those changes make sense to me/us, or if they seem more arbitrary.

Thanks for your continued work! Getting the pricing data as good as possible is (in my opinion) the most important thing.

Hi. I just noticed a very large change in my inventory value. It looks like most/all small value cards jumped from the standard "10 cents" to more like 14-20 cents. Some other mid-value cards may have also gone up, but it's harder to tell.

I'm guessing there was some change to the pricing algorithm? Can we get any update on it? thanks!
