This is why i make people with little or no feedback send first. I am sorry to hear about this bad experience but thank you for warning us about this bum.

Why dont you make a wishlist so people have an idea what you are looking for. just saying 'modern staples' its super vague and most people wont want to do it anyway. Maybe you have a deck in mind you could add so you know what you are looking for.

Knowing the standard cards will drop when rotating out makes it LESS attractive to trade a solid legacy staple for it.  you should be offering more standard to get a modern staple if anything.

oh i understood you play real and online. just saying real is all you SHOULD be playing.    if you want to play on the computer then get diablo 3 or something, or get an xbox.  if your goign to spend four bucks on a pack get a real one! Magic is fun but you should think about branching out more, maybe a nice sports game, or call of duty.

No I am not seriously against mtgo.

ah, sucks to be you ;p   REAL CARDS ALL THE WAY!

just make a 2nd account that only has your MTGO cards.   maybe have something in the name to distinguish it so whenever anyone finds it they can easily distinguish it from the regular card one.

;p

sent you a trade request with a few cards I wanted.  look through my list and see if there is anything you want

I would suggest he find out who the bastard is that did this. It seems that it is someone close to him, roomate or friend, and if they are willing to steal using his name who knows what else they could have/are stealing from him in other ways.

If he makes good on it than I hope the community will acknowledge that and praise him for taking responsibility for his account.  This whole system is based on trust and there can be little to no tolerance with people who destroy that trust because it will break the system down.  No one likes a con man and its not like we can sue or drive over and get our cards back.

Derek seems to be doing his best and I think his offer is quite reasonable.  Sending the cards back is a fair offer since thats really all anyone can expect given a bad trade.

Hopefully we will be hearing some good news soon.

Am I lucky for avoiding a scammer or are some people just douchebags?

This has happened a few times recently (with diff new people obviously) so wondering if its more than people just being jerks.   Let me state that I am patient and I do not require two day shipping or anything. Real life can get in the way and I dont expect nor do I promise immediate next day shipping.  Some people have issue's and may require a few days or can only ship on weekends. . understandable.
However, when you agree to a trade and exchange addresses it is a done deal, an agreement has been made. I as many people have made a rule if a person has less than so many trades they ship first.  Trust is earned and this is why I have this policy.

Paul woods is the latest new member to make a deal with me, make me wait a week and then cancel the trade without any communication.   With zero feedback I asked he ship first  and after a week I asked if he had a chance to ship (no threats, just curious) .   He cancels the trade the next day without explanation.

The trade wasnt very big but it was equal at the time and people asked about some of the cards I had in trade to him and I had turned them down.  Its irritating to know I had other deals that were missed because of his behavior and without any sort of communication I am left wondering if he is just trying to steal cards. I did not lose cards but regardless does this not deserve negative feedback?  If he didnt want the trade then why the hell did he agree in the first place?

I would like to say that the majority of this community is great and have had great trades overall.  Just irritated with these losers who may be showing up to spoil it up for the rest of us.

I dislike making an offer, person says they will get back to you, then three days later they agree to other peoples trades and then get to yours last, (those other trades came in days after yours), and he traded all that you wanted to them and than has the nerve to say 'its in another trade'.   I understand priority of wants and all that but if you make a trade first, they almost agree, then keep you hanging for a few days and then claim they cant do it anymore, that is insulting and worth a negative feedback for being a deushebag.

Almost as bad as making an offer, agreeing to it and then after two weeks without a response canceling it without a word.

Hi everyone,

Looking for:

Foil helvault
Foil Eldrazi temple
A textless Lightning bolt

Trade or cash if offer reasonable.

These cards will never been seen again as they are going into my 'interesting' card collection with my little brother.

If you have one, or know someone who does. Let the authorities (me) know.

thank you citizens.

got one if the offer is right.

You can always try again after avacyn restored. I collect angels and demons so plenty for me to chase after.  ;p

It would help if you put some cards in your wishlist so we knew what you were looking for.  but welcome!

Are you sure there was no cake?  I dont think you can confirm that until you receive the package.  Just oblivion ring the angry mob.

Been looking at this thread and while i am sorry you have to deal with this it brings up a few points I am dealing with.

What exactly deserves a Negative feedback rating?  Now obviously someone who takes cards and never mails yours is a bad trader, but is that the only thing that requires a negative score? If someone proposes a trade, you both agree and then five days later you dont hear anything and they cancel the trade without any notice saying they are no longer interested. While no cards were exchanged or lost would you also consider this a bad trade as they have held up your cards that could have been traded to others?  Especially if they are the one that proposed the trade.  Currently facing this myself as someone I have never traded before made a deal offer and while it seemed a bit too good for me, they made the offer and so I agreed. Now almost a week later and they have not mailed the card or really responded. Sent an email so still waiting for a response but if it fails I feel i should be able to leave a negative score without getting one in kind.  I was suspicious of the trader (only +1 and that was a while ago) so them sending first is part of the agreement.  This may seem petty but i decided to pass on offers due to this agreement being finalized and its irritating that he screwed me on those offers.

I want to add I have had a great experience on here so far and lots of wonderful honest people so want to keep it honest and safe for all of us as long as possible.

send you an offer
