So much bitching and moaning from entitled little pricks! The internet is training us to think that other people's hard work should just be free to everyone and they can just exists as parasites sucking off the ambition of those who produce rather than solely consume.  News flash: making your whiny-ass life easier is not the only motivation that web developers/programmers have to do what they do.  Sometimes people like to be compensated for their work, this is not a novel concept.

And as they are claiming, it's not like the features you have now are going away or becoming premium features.  If you are leaving because you just don't agree with the concept of a pay-site, grow up.  If you are leaving because a feature you had been hoping for is going to be released behind a pay-wall, either pay for it, look somewhere else or build it yourself.  Either way, don't come in here and puke all over the developers' hard work with your unearned and unwarranted "disappointment."

If you end up paying and shit doesn't work or they don't deliver what they claim, or the price goes up to something unreasonable, then sure, it's time to lodge complaints, but seriously people.  This site has been free for years, it's one of if not the best at what it does and, the bulk of it still is free.  Stop bitching.

Also, why would you cancel your existing trades, is it really that difficult to open another browser to reference prices during this TCGPlayer dilemma? I feel sorry for the people that were trading were you.

I know, right?  HOW DID ANYONE EVER TRADE ONLINE BEFORE THIS DEVASTATING CATASTROPHE?!?!?!

Deckbox team, you could take the position of: Our service was so convenient and useful, that people forgot how to live without it...

I am sorry to hear that TCGPlayer is being a hard-on about this.  I would understand where they are coming from if customers could actually buy cards through deckbox.org.  The fact that you guys linked to them and openly confirmed that you use their pricing should clue them in to the fact that for this reason, this site increases their traffic and sales.

I think it's totally understandable that you wish to avoid legal trouble with them, and am grateful that you are seeking alternative methods to bridge the gap, rather than just abandoning the feature altogether.  Best of luck, deckbox team.

I just want to make sure the non-vocal majority who want their inventory to remain public are thought about. I very often trade from my inventory and if someone wants to offer a good trade in my favour for something not in my trade list I'd like that to be available to them.

I don't think anyone here is asking for the removal of a public inventory option.  We just don't want it to be the only option.

Is there an easy way to remove the "trade-able" status from every card in your inventory, or do you need to go through every row of the inventory list typing in "0"'s in the blue column?  I tried going to the Tradelist screen and under "tools" clicking "remove all"  I don't know if this is supposed to remove all the cards from inventory or just remove their "for trade" status, but when I click it (with or without checkboxes checked) nothing happens.

+1 from me.

Another possible benefit from this is the ability to go on a temporary trade hiatus.  It is easy enough to cut and paste your tradelist to a new deck and make it private, but that screws up your inventory.  Not too difficult to work around for a user, but it would be nice to click a button that makes your tradelist private if, say, you are moving, and you want to disable trading for x days to avoid mailing complications.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

Edit:  That work around doesn't really work because you can't import cards for trade via CSV, only inventory.

The main inventory screen allows you to see how many copies of a card in your inventory are currently in your decks.  I would find it useful if that column was available when I'm looking at a deck, as well, rather than only at the inventory.  This will help me see if I need to add any copies to my wishlist.

For example, currently if I look at Deck X that I've designed, I can see that I own 5 copies of acidic slime, and since deck X only needs 2, I appear to be covered.  However, I have another deck that is using 4 of my 5, so really I should be adding 1 to my wishlist, if I want to have both decks complete simultaneously.  It would  be nice to see that information on the deck screen.

Thanks for all the hard work! I hate to ask for conveniences when so many are already provided for free, so if you guys accept paypal donations, point me in the right direction smile

That is already a feature. The green column lists how many you own and the white column shows how many you have in all your decks listed here on deckbox (when looking at inv, trade, or wish lists). When looking at a deck the white column shows how many you have in THAT deck.

Oh I see, thank you for pointing this out.  Could we then get this column as a display-able option on each deck's page?  Also a button that adds all cards in a deck to your inventory?  I would like to erase what I have for inventory because it's only a partial thing, then go through each deck I have on this site, hit "add all cards in this list to inventory" and quickly generate an up-to-date inventory for my decks.  Then I could add the rest of my cards (not in decks) after the fact.

Here's another inventory question. I apologize if it's been brought up already.

Is it possible to add, in addition to "# of copies of [card x] I own," a column for "# of copies of [card x] I have listed in all of my decks"

Say I have a deck that uses 1 copy of mind's eye, I set my inventory to 1 for that card.  I then want to make another deck with mind's eye because it's so awesome.  When I make that second deck, my inventory says I have the card, so it would seem that I wouldn't need to acquire another copy, however, if i want to keep my original deck intact, I would need another copy.  That second column would eliminate this problem, methinks.

Thanks.
