Hey Guys,

Basically my question is this, Thespians's Stage gives 1 mana in a circle, is that one generic mana, meaning i cannot play one drops of a certain colour? Or does it simply mean it is generic, can be used for any colour?

I know there are plenty if lands that do this, but i can only remember Thespian's Stage, I only ask as i couldn't play my one white boros elite using it as it gave a generic mana, and I'd like to be sure that is correct is all. Also if it does allow me to play one drops of a certain colour, reference to the rule would be awesome as i can then persuade my friends i am right big_smile.

If i'm wrong though, sorry for wasting your time.

Awesomes, yeah I just found that card in a booster today, got 2 overall. smile Needless to say it's gone straight in. Debt to the Deathless is also pretty awesome with this deck as well I thought assuming you can get enough mana going with crypt ghast.
Anywho, cheers for the answer, good to know I've actually had a good idea for once. big_smile

Hey Hey,

I was building my Orzhov deck (see here: http://deckbox.org/sets/407812) when i came across what i think is a potentially good combo as long as i understand both Crypt Ghast and Pontiff of Blight properly. When crypt ghast gives me an extra swamp mana for each swamp i tap, is that stackable with other crypt ghasts? So if i had 4 on the field would i be getting 5 mana for each swamp i tap?

And basically same question for Pontiff of Blight, I know it says that if they have multiple instances of extort then they stack, but can multiple Pontiff of Blights give multiple extorts to one creature?

This may be an obvious yes but i have a tendency to not read cards properly and want to make sure before i embarrass myself at my first FNM next week.

Cheers, i have been a bit restricted so far with what I'm using due to not buying a lot so far. I do plan to buy a couple more Krenko, Mob Boss and eventually replace all the random creatures with more goblins, so once that's all done i'll just give it a tweak every now and then.

As for the white i just play with friends so not too concerned about the Mirran Crusader, I'll just have to remember to take it out for tourneys and such. The basic plan was to have humans do the light damage and be all annoying until the angels came in for the heavy stuff, though at the moment it plays more like a half and half token and lifelink deck,which kinda works sometimes. Guess i need to decide and then commit to one methinks.

Eventually I'd like to build decks by just choosing 9 cards that work well together and then add four of each, then make up the rest with land.

Has anyone tried this?
What are the decks like for this method?
