if I understand your method, it would have an entry for alpha swamp, beta swamp, unlimited swamp... etc etc... doing it that way would have 3 cards and not just 'swamp' which I would want since I don't have that card name.
(example)
did I misread?

Yes I know that would work that way, but if there was a way to add this feature to deckbox (cough) you could do it by name only, not name and edition etc.
Maybe a feature will show up soon
Hi all,
Just wondering, is there a way to batch select and mark all cards that you have 0 of in your inventory?
Id like to do that so my wishlist has cards I don't have and might not even know exist instead of having to manually by name add them.
Anyone?
It is either collect or drink
If I thought of the cards that were stolen from me over the years, and the money and time I've spent playing this game (as a kid it was never a collection, it was more cards to play with) It'd probably drive me TO drinking.
Ha ha! I'm a 47 year old mom of a 10 year old. I started playing magic on long camping trips to keep the boy entertained, and now I think I like it more than he does! (Plus I am a gadget geek, so I'm the one figuring out all the electronic gadgets to keep us organized! ;-)

Another handy example would be sorting by quantity owned...
Not to sort on more than 4 but sort on 0 owned in the card database.
That way I could sort to all the cards I am missing, or a way to "make all un-owned cards on tradelist" kind of thing.
I noticed this while you were working on it, I saw the price of my mint ReaperKing and almost pooped on my couch.
Im glad I'm not the only one!
and drock, 90% of the time when you pick up a card and go "oh cool" and its 3 mana or under, its valuable hahaha.
Once I dug my cards out of the closet and got fascinated by them again I started entering them in the inventory. (Probably about 1/2 done at this point).
I'm hooked again. Over the past couple of months I must have bought 30 packs of random sets. sigh.
My girlfriend has never seen the game so Im going to try and teach her how to play today.
stupid magic cards, stupid deckbox...
I'm 33 and feel like I'm 12 again. hahhah I know I cant be the only one!
No, inventory search and filter so it displays only:
French cards
or
English cards that I own more than 4 (which would show separate line items for each set, whose total named cards in all sets add up to 4 or more)
or
Cards that I own in French and English
or any combination of filters like currently exists, but non-game type items.
Hi guys,
I am new to this and upon entering a few of my cards I realized there is no way to filter on anything tangible except for expansion owned.
I would think it would be very useful to add capability to filter on quantity owned, language, etc, things like that.
Love the site though!
I took them out, it seemed too much of a hassle to keep them in. I had them all set for trade and anyone that needed those cards in English showed up on my trade opportunities, which... isn't the right card!
I will go over and suggest that, Im sure it wont be the first time.
(number owned would be MUCH more useful too)
No I didn't put them in wrong, they really are French.
Im just wondering if theres a way to search by real life tangible factors. Is there a way to suggest that capability to whoever made this maybe?
good tip thanks!
Is there a way to filter out different languages? For example somehow I ended up with a handful of French 4th edition cards. I put them in here, and not sure if I should take them out, as it seems to confuse the whole system.
Basically, is there a way to sort by physical characteristics like language, quantity owned, marked for trade only etc.. instead of just card text or types?
hahah, let 'the guy' know. That's just funny. I don't picture there being 'named' collections like books or cars with these things.
Hey that's cool with me, I have no need for the attorney.
This is really interesting, I love this whole site, makes me feel like a kid again. I cant be the only one!
(Oh, and I guess I wanted to do the same thing with a card... I have about 30 plague rats! hahaha)
Yep I thought about that, but if I'm going to do this I might as well list the editions too.
I have quite a few scattered throughout all the revised/4th/etc... that are the same card, but the problem is they are randomly mixed in with all the other of the same color, so I pretty much just go card by card anyway.
That's what I get for being a kid and throwing them into a card box
At least I kept them separated by color!
I don't know if I have force of will, but I do have 1 lonely tiaga!
This is going to take WEEKS to put all these cards in hahah... it seems to be about an hour per 100. But, just like I felt 20 years ago pulling packs and looking at all the cards, I feel all excited when I see the old ones I remember playing with back in middle school (I'm 33 now).
memories eh...
Wow, that is pretty amazing then.
I have to say I'm a bit shocked.
I've been playing since early revised, then took a decade+ break hahah. This could be interesting!
I just found this site last night and just started putting in some of my cards to inventory for myself.
I found a couple of card values that I think -have- to be a mistake. Does anyone know how it actually pulls card values for cards?
I'd love to have a 11 $70 ice age plains but I don't see that being very realistic.
(also, $150 bucks for an alpha demonic attorney, or 100 for a mana crypt)
Really curious what the deal is with this. Otherwise, have to say I love this thing, first time I've ever tried to inventory my cards. This will take a while.
