When you have hundreds of different versions of say an Island it can be torturous to go down an unsortable list to find the one record you are trying to update and hoping you picked the correct one over just adding the correct card to the top of the list and having the system compress it for you.

As much as I like deckbox.org, for basic lands, I use tcgplayer.com. It's just waaay easier to manage my collection

The Wilds of Edraine pre-release cards are missing. Or, more specifically, the pre-release version of Regal Bunnicorn is missing as is the promo pack version:

https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/51441 … -bunnicorn
https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/51433 … -bunnicorn

Two cards:

- Stonecoil Serpent - Media Promo
- Terramorphic Expanse - Secret Layer (not yet on tcgplayer)

Y'all are missing the following versions of Paladin Class:

- Promo Pack: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms
- Prerelease Cards

Two resale promo's are missing - Outland Colossus and Atarka, World Render:

The pre-release Myth Realized is listed at $30.00 but tcgplayer has it averaging for around $4-5.00:

Non-foil Wilt-Leaf Liege is $32.24. Foil Wilt-Leaf Liege is $30.00. That seems...  unlikely.

Awesome - thanks!

When are we going to get the Fage Reforged prerelease promos and the Ugin's Fate cards, if I may ask?

They're not even on starcitygames.com or tcgplayer yet...

The fact that it's missing has been brought up before. On Nov 15, 2014:

https://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php … 56#p101556

On Dec 13, 2014:

https://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php … 79#p102879

On Dec 20, 2014:

https://deckbox.org/forum/viewtopic.php … 49#p103349

FYI.

We don't have to pay for the premium version to add the promo version of Sultai Charm, do we? wink

That said, I do think the notion of paying for privacy is reasonable. That mirrors what github.com does. Every repo is public by default, unless you want to pay, at which point, the repo can be private.

Promo Angenlic Skirmisher. On SCG it's $2.99, on TCG it's $3.00 median and on decbox.org it's $14.18.

There are two promo cards listed for Dirtcrowl Wurm. Prerelease Events (Card #1) and Promo set for Gatherer (Card #). I don't think Promo set for Gatherer is actually a real set. I think it's just a placeholder for the "promo set" that's used by Gatherer. See, eg, this:

http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/magi … r-gatherer

Angelic Skirmisher & Wolf were added a few days ago.

Looking at the list I guess you're right, although it does look to be miscategorized. Shouldn't it's edition be Promo / Prerelease Events instead of Magic 2015 - Core Set? It doesn't look like Magic 2015 proper even has a Wolf token:

http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/ar … 2014-07-02

Also, I saw that Angelic Skirmisher had already been added already... I only mentioned that as an example of how it can take a while for promos to be added. Even if you add stuff same day, after you learn about it, it could be a while before you learn about it. I usually post about promos once I add them but others might not. And what if you're on vacation? idk just my two cents lol. It's ultimately up to you!

Cards and Deck Database seems to group all the editions together and shows the price of the latest non-foil version of the card. This means that you can't do such things as sorting cards by their foil prices (ie. one of the more expensive foils in Innistrad is Delver of Secrets, even though it's not that expensive as a non-foil) or finding the most expensive basic land.

If I'm looking to add a card to a deck it's more useful this way but in-so-far as a general price guide goes it's not so useful.

Maybe a new option can be added under Cards and Deck Database? ie. Magic the Gathering Price Guides or something?

Next small release (probably next week) will bring a bit of cleanup with regard to card flags. The old 'promo' and 'textless' flags are now not useful anymore since we have support for separate printings for each card.

Maybe the promo flags could be retained? I just attended the pre-release the promo I got isn't currently in the deckbox.org DB. I added the card to my inventory with the promo flag enabled. I figure I'll make change the set to the promo set when those cards have been added into the deckbox.org DB but it's nice to be able to flag such cards in the interim.

These promos aren't the first time I've tried to add a promo that hasn't yet been added to the deckbox.org DB as a promo. Another example is Angelic Skirmisher.

Any idea where I could find pictures of those Wolf Tokens? I can't find a Wizards mention of them.

What about the foil promo Angelic Skirmisher? See this URL for details:

I've posted about it before:

Fixed Homelands printings not showing correct images, and added collector numbers for them. (For Aysen Bureaucrats, Torture, Giant Albatross, Reef Pirates).

Added
  - mising Arena League lands
  - missing lands from the European Land Program
  - missing lands from the Asia Pacific Land Program
  - SDCC 2014 promos

A lot of the Arena, APAC and Euro lands do not have prices.

Also, I think the way tcgplayer does basic lands, in particular, is better. There it has a description of the source as part of the name. eg. compare these two:

http://store.tcgplayer.com/collection/view/193418
https://deckbox.org/sets/713144

One of those is a lot easier to read than the other.

Another thing: the tcgplayer collection has 74 cards. The deckbox one has 73. What card is missing from deckbox? If, in deckbox, I try to filter by, for example, Plains, to see if that's what I'm missing, I'm still told I have 73 cards even after the filter has been applied. ie. it's not very useful. The counts, values, etc, really ought to be calculated post-filter - not pre-filter.

Maybe adding a column for the year that the card owned was printed in would be worthwhile?

I upped it to 25 right now, as a temporary solution. Thinking of maybe putting a dropdown with a "per page" option that can be set from 10 to 100, and saved per user. Pherhaps also can be done in the normal set listings, but that needs a lot of testing, the limitation to 30 is there for 6 years now, there might be side effects.

What about having a user setting where people can set the pagination that they want deckbox.org to use?

I saw that too. I almost wonder if it's just an attempt to artificially bolster the legitimacy of deckbox.org as a platform for buying products. idk

Handling of separate card printings per edition

An often requested feature was the ability to not only specify a card's edition, but the exact printing it has in an edition. Some cases, like Zendikar lands, and rarer cards were especially problematic because of this.

We have fixed this now, and edition selectors everywhere list all printings of cards. There is also a little 'picture' icon with a mouseover effect in there, so you can easier identify the exact printing you wish to set, even if you do not know the card number.

This is on the surface a not a very big change, but it actually was a big pre-requisite for other features (tags & multiple inventories & edition checklists etc etc), and also a bit tricky to change. Now that it is out of the way, we're ready to tackle the next cool stuff!

That's great to hear - been looking forward to this feature!

But...

I tried to add an Island from Arena right now and...  there are 9x Arena Islands, as detailed on starcitygames.com:

http://sales.starcitygames.com/spoiler/ … %5D=NM%2FM

There are additionally 3x "Asia Pacific Land Program" Islands and 3x "European Land Program" cards, despite deckbox.org thinking there's only 1x.

edit: I guess others have noticed this too:
