Found them in a random box of cards, forgot I bought them a couple years ago to try out that Body Double/Hulk combo in Modern... never made the deck. Anyway, have four slightly-played foils for trade. Hit me up if you want any for strategic EDH purposes. Thanks!

It sucks to say, but your local post office personnel aren't above being scumbags. Here's something that happened to me, not Magic related.

I lived in a city neighborhood that required residential parking permits to park on the street all day without getting a ticket. Since parking near my neighborhood, in a garage, can run you somewhere in the ballpark of $1500-2000 a year, obtaining one of those parking permits can be worth a lot of money. I'm sure you could easily sell one for $500 cash, with no effort what so ever.

Anyway, each year we received notification from the city which was a form to return with a copy of our registration, showing that we still lived there. So, one year, we get the forms and I fill them out for both the wife and myself and send them in. A couple weeks later I grab the stack of mail that was shoved through my front door mail slot and there are two envelopes, from the Department of Finance (the office that issues the parking permits), that are torn open and empty. Not slightly ripped and maybe the contents fell out... like, someone took their finger and opened the letter end to end. To be clear, the rest of the mail was completely unscathed in any way. It was just the two letters from the Department of Finance that were manged and empty.

So I called the city office, explained what happened and the lady on the phone says, "OK, I'll void those stickers and send you out two more. Expect them in 2-3 days." Well, 2-3 days goes by and I pickup the mail at the front door, only to see two more letters from the Department of Finance which had been ripped open, emptied and taped shut. Again, no other mail had met the same fate, just those letters.

I took all four envelopes to the city Post Office, showed them to the Postmaster and he assured me that no one would ever do that and that my mail slot must have mangled those envelopes (but no others). When I asked him if my nefarious mail slot also felt bad and taped up the two most recent letters, he just scowled at me and said, "maybe, but it wasn't us!"

Bought them a while ago, don't see myself ever playing the deck. Also have the Footsteps (non-foil) to go with them, if you're interested. Have a bunch of random stuff in my wishlist, take a look if you're interested. Thanks!

So really, you are expecting instant real time price changes. This was honestly just a trade done with horrible timing. I dont think you should fault Deckbox for this.

Yes, that was part of it, but, like I said, deckbox also maintained those incorrect prices throughout the day yesterday. So, we're talking something like 36 hours. Also, the spike in prices for the Dragonlord Atarka and Den Protector are a separate issue from Sarkhan Unbroken still showing as a $20 card, which he isn't. If the prices are 4 hours old... even 8 hours old, yea, I get that. If prices are a day and a half old before updating (or not updating at all -- Sarkhan Unbroken) that's an entirely different issue that needs addressing.

You need to fix where and/or how you get the prices and the frequency of updates, this is ridiculous. This morning, because of deckbox's lack of price updates (for days!), I had to follow though on trading a $25 card for a $15 card. This is an exact history of a trade I just made.

4/8 - I made a forum post listing cards for trade, one of which is a Dragonlord Atarka - FOIL which, at that time, was a $18 card (on deckbox and tcgplayer).
4/8 - A guy opens a trade with me, saying he wants that card. I look at his list and the only thing I see that I want is a Sarkhan Unbroken, which is a $20 card (on deckbox and tcgplayer). I propose that as a trade, but ask him to find another $2 card to even it up.
4/9 - No reply.
4/10 - No reply.
4/11 - He adds Den Protector to the list, which evens it up to [what your site shows as] ~ $20 on both sides. So, thinking that's fine because your site has given me no reason to suspect otherwise, since a couple days ago the price shown was tracking with reality, I accept the trade.

Later that day I happen to go on http://www.mtgstocks.com/interests and what do I see? Dragonlord Atarka and Den Protector are the two cards with the biggest change in price. A Foil Dragonlord Atarka and Den Protector, collectively, are worth around $30. I decided to also check how Sarkhan Unbroken was doing and, to my surprise, he was no longer a $20 card (which your site STILL shows him as, even though tcgplayer and ebay show him at $15). As a matter of fact, deckbox showed the Sarkhan vs. FOIL Dragonlord Atarka/Den Protector trade as being even right up until this morning (4/13 9am EST).

That is just unacceptable. While I don't expect real-time, stock market-esque, updates on the site... taking two days to reflect big price increases, and still being off by A LOT, is patently ridiculous. What's the point of having prices at all if they're going to be days old and as much as 25% off from reality?

Oh, I should note that I did reach out to the other guy and he let me off the hook with the Den Protector added to even up the trade (lol!), so we only did the Dragonlord Atarka - FOIL for the Sarkhan. At least he didn't overly penalize me for deckbox's lack of price updates, which was nice of him.

I just cracked my box of DTK last night and there are a lot of cards I have no interest in keeping, but people might be interested in. I don't really have a "wish list" at the moment, so if you see any cards that interest you just reply with "Interested in [card], take a look at my trade list!" Thanks.

Dragonlord Atarka - FOIL
Dragonlord Ojutai
Dragon Whisperer
Dragonlord Atarka
Dragonlord Silumgar
Myth Realized
Collected Company
Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit

I have on me, at work, Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker x2 and a Wingmate Roc. I want to trade these for:

Wooded Foothills x2
Windswept Heath or Flooded Strand

It's pretty close if you go with the strand option, but the other one is decently in your favor. I work above the Post Office, so if we confirm this today (and you have a trade score of 10+ 100%), it'll get mailed today.

Good luck with Blue Moon, punish those non-basic lovers!

EDH

1x Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary

Start up a trade if you would like to try and figure something out. Thanks

I'm not sure if you know, but Rofellos was recently banned in EDH. He used to just be "banned as Commander," but the two separate banned lists were combined and he was a casualty. I just thought I would mention that, so you didn't trade for one then get yelled at for using it.

Carry on!

Bump!

Looking to trade away any/all of these for Khans sac lands. As a matter of fact, I would love a large trade that involved everything (or most of everything) below. Thanks!

Mantis Rider
Bloodsoaked Champion
Villainous Wealth x2
Wingmate Roc
Kheru Lich Lord
Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker

Brimaz, King of Oreskos

Eidolon of the Great Revel x2 (1x Russian)
Temple of Malady x3 (1x Russian)
Pharika x2 (1x Russian)
Ajani, Mentor of Heroes x2 (1x Russian)

Looking to make some trades for Noble Hierarch x2, even though I'm 100% convinced they'll be in Modern Masters 2. Take a look at my Tradelist, see if there's anything that piques your interest. I would probably be willing to give a premium on trading Standard cards for them.

Kammikaze wrote:

One other question, did you need the cards from this trade for an event or something?

No, they're only a small piece of a Bloom Titan deck I'm making and I haven't even bothered to order the rest of the cards from tcgplayer yet.

Kammikaze wrote:

Always remember, the most important thing in trading is COMMUNICATION.

Between those comments of his was me asking what's going on. So, yea, I am definitely communicating with the guy and I can't really help him in the situation of him being unable to find the time to make it to the post office.

For domestic trades 2 weeks should be allowed

I'm going to assume that 2 weeks duration was meant to include package travel time for long distances (Alaska to Florida?), not two weeks to drop the package off at the post office from the time both parties accepted the trade. I think it's a bit absurd to give someone one state away a full two weeks to get off their ass and get to the post office. Like I said before, I just think that if you're not able to ship in a timely manner then you shouldn't be trading in the first place.

In the next day or so, I'm going to make a post on the Reddit MTG Trades forum titled, "If you don't have time to ship, then don't trade!"

I currently have a trade going that was finalized last Wednesday (6/18). I shipped my cards out on Thursday (6/19) and, because the guy is only one state away, they were delivered on Saturday (6/21). I have a tracking number showing this. When we both agreed to the trade, this is what he put in the text box, "I'll ship the cards sometime within the next day or so, I'll let you know when I do."

It's now a full week later and he still hasn't shipped the cards. Here is some additional text.

6/19 - I'll be shipping today after work most likely
6/21 - Received your cards today. Sorry, I got swamped this weekend with work, so I'll have to send out your cards on monday.
6/24 - I'm sorry dude, I just started a new job last week and I've had to stay late almost every day. I'm really sorry dude, I'll get them out to you

So, when is it acceptable to leave someone negative feedback? There was no up front indication of any work issues or perceived problems with shipping in a timely manner. He gave every indication that things were going to go ahead as planned, then I get nothing but excuses of why he hasn't/can't ship. My feeling is... if you're going to actively trade with people, then be prepared to carry it all the way through the process.
