If you're wanting to make a sideboard for a Modern deck, shouldn't the deck you're asking for be Modern-legal? Field of Souls kills it's Modern legality man :P That said, I don't have any ideas...I'd need to see how the deck plays out to know what is needed...I have a tough time visualizing what it should do when it's not a deck I built myself :P

as for what is does, it abuses the hell out of the persist mechanic with sacrifice and melira to do one of a few combos

1) mill with Thoughpicker witch

2) have unlimited creatures by saci-ng the goblin and pinging himself unlimited times with field of souls out

3) gaining unlimted life with sutures priest/kitchen finks

4) sapping life with the blood artist

on second thought, ill just replace the field of souls with ogre slumlord to keep it modern
