Never built an EDH deck, not really sure where to start.

I know the basic rules of it, no more than one of any card (with the exception of basic land)

but thats about it, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I built a Rhys deck that was fun, Krenko can be fun too. Both are listed in my decks if you want to take a look and see if they give you any ideas.

Basically, if you don't have the possibility of making near infinite tokens each turn, you're doing it wrong :)

I used to have a Rhys deck and a Blue\Green elf deck that would let me make infinite 7/7 elementals it was fun to play

The best place to start is to pick a general to build around. This will restrict which colors you can include in the deck and likely the sorts of things you're going to try to achieve. For instance, if you're wanting tokens, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice is a great option for a general.
