Topic: ***PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING*** Known Issues and Requests

This post is intended to address some of the most common issues being raised in the feedback forum. Sebi and the team are aware of these issues, so there is no need to create a new post to report them.

As other common feedback items are identified, they will be added to this post.

*** UPDATE - 01/02/14 ***
Sebi has released version 2.2, adding foil pricing among other changes. Next up should be a timetable for API work.

*** UPDATE--ADDRESSED *** MISSING PRICING - FOILS - The 2.2 Update added foil pricing from TCGPlayer. Note that not all foil cards have pricing in the TCGPlayer data source, so Sebi will continue to look for an improved arrangement with more complete foil pricing.

MAKE INVENTORY PRIVATE OPTION
We have received numerous requests to be able to mark one's Inventory as private (i.e., not visible to the broader community).  These requests revolve around two reasons: A) many traders are repeatedly receiving trade proposals for cards in their inventory that they do not wish to trade, and B) to prevent potential thieves from targeting individuals with valuable collections.

The request is being reviewed, and the option to make Inventory private is being considered.

+++++

MISSING CARDS and/or SETS
At this time, Deckbox.org uses an API from TCGPlayer.com.  Because of this, we can only display information on sets that are included in TCGPlayer.com's API.
In addition, some cards and sets are not part of the official Wizards of the Coast Gatherer database.  If a card is not listed in that database, it will not be available in the TCGPlayer API.

+++++

INCORRECT PRICING - AVERAGE vs. MEDIAN
At this time, Deckbox.org uses an API from TCGPlayer.com. Recently, TCGPlayer started showing median prices on cards, instead of the average.  The current API pulls the TCGPlayer average price.  This explains why prices are different between this site and TCGPlayer.com. Sebi and the team area aware of the change, and are determining an appropriate course of action.

+++++

INCORRECT PRICING - CARDS WITH ACCENTED CHARACTERS
At this time, Deckbox.org uses an API from TCGPlayer.com. Some cards (e.g., Séance) do not display pricing information because the names with the accented characters do not get properly resolved through the API.  Sebi and the team are aware of this issue.

+++++

SORT BY QUANTITY IN CARD DATABASE
The ability to sort by quantity in the various columns (inventory/tradelist/wishlist) was lost in early 2013 during a major upgrade of the service.  Many requests have been received to restore this option, and it will be returning as part of the next set of updates.

+++++

COLLECTOR NUMBERS
Many have asked about adding the collector numbers for cards in the system, and to allow for searches by collector number.  Sebi and company are aware of the request.

At this time, Deckbox.org uses an API from TCGPlayer.com.  Because of this, we can only display information that is included in TCGPlayer.com's API, and collector's number is not currently an option.  Whether or not this will be included in the future has not yet been determined.

+++++

ADDITIONAL LANGUAGES
Many users have asked to have Deckbox made available in other languages.  At this time, there are no plans to  add support for additional languages in the interface or in the card databases.

+++++

PLEASE ADD TRACKING FOR _________ (Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, Netrunner, etc.)
We regularly receive requests to add support for additional collectible card games (CCGs) and living card games (LCGs).  At this time, there are no plans to add support for additional CCGs or LCGs, as Sebi and the team are focused on maintaining and improving the site for the current set of supported gams.

+++++

*** UPDATE--ADDRESSED *** WANT TO FILTER TRADE OPPORTUNITIES BY __________
An update of the trade interface is planned for early 2013.  When the update is complete, there will be many new filtering options, including the ability to filter trading partners based on how active they are/when they were last online.
