Topic: Need help with workflow re: tags

ok here is my own, self induced bottle neck i am trying to solve. Figured someone here may have a good idea.

So when I enter cards, I enter them with no tags. Then, once I have finished a batch and put them into wherever there storage container is, I give them a tag to associate them with the storage container.

My issue is that this works great when I am entering cards for the first time, likely the first time I ingesting a set. However, lets say I then go do a draft of Bloomburrow, which I have already collected and entered into my collection...I now have tons of rows that are both untagged and tagged with location, with no difference other than that. Making it worse is I organize by set, so they will end up with the same tag.  Adding that same tag to the new rows just gives me multiple rows.

Is there a way to condense duplicate rows that im not thinking about?

Should I export my collection, consolidate in a script, and then reupload as a backup? Would that break the links in my deck building?

Re: Need help with workflow re: tags

I'm not sure I'm fully understanding the issue. Let me know where you're going off this (I'm assuming you have premium):
1. New set - Go to inventory > Add CArds > Add Card List with list of card names and count (set presets to set, condition, language and appropriate tags) - Add those cards
2. With additional cards -  Go to inventory > Add Cards > Add Card List with list of card names and count (set presets to set, condition, language and appropriate tags) - Add those cards

To fix old ones - Filter inventory by set with inventory tags is none of the applicable tag. Select All. Apply Tag to selection.

If I'm missing something let me know.

Yeah, this is partly a bug that is on my list to fix for a very long time, and also reported by users many times -> the rows that have identical details AND identical tags should be automatically condensed. It's surprisingly tricky to fix so I have postponed this for a very long time, but hope to get to it soon!

At this step, he expects the new rows to be 'merged' into the old rows, so that there aren't 2 things with the same printing and same tag, but just one, with the counts summed up.
