It would be helpful if a New Rotation filter were added to the inventory search filters so that during these periods of upheaval, players could easily see which cards they currently own to build rotation safe standard decks.

It would be helpful if a New Rotation filter were added to the inventory search filters so that during these periods of upheaval, players could easily see which cards they currently own to build rotation safe standard decks.
While it is not a one-button solution, you can filter things to do just what you want to do.
From your Inventory page,
1. Click Search & Filter.
2. Click the More filters drop down menu.
3. Select Edition.
4. Ensure the Edition criteria is active (checked) and set to is one of.
5. In the Edition drop down menu, click to select each edition that will remain in Standard.
Example: As of this writing (August, 2012), I would select: Magic 2013, Avacyn Restored, Dark Ascension, and Innistrad.
6. After the Editions are selected, click Done and Apply Filters, or simply click Apply Filters.
That will show you everything in your inventory that will remain in the current Standard format as the old blocks rotate out.
You can similarly use filters on the full card database to identify which cards you are missing in that sub-set of editions (to flag your Tradelist).
