Topic: [Opinions] [Modern] GRU Ally Agro-Combo Deck

Hi everyone,
First time posting. I wanted to get some feedback for improvements on a favorite deck of mine.

I know in general Ally is considered a cruddy mechanic, but I like my deck okay. This deck is a Red/Green/Blue Ally deck. It is mostly agro but has one pretty good combo as a backup win condition.

The deck uses Harabaz Druids for ramp and mana-fixing for the one blue spell, Xenograft. Xenograft is used with Turntimber Ranger to make his wolf tokens also allys, so it creates a loop that generates creatures, and buffs the ranger. Depending on what other allys are out the combo can also deal damage to creatures, buff other allys, or generate immense amount of mana. I know the combo easily breaks to enchantment removal or midrange board wipes.

This deck already does pretty well for me with my local metagame a decent amount of the time. My question is, How can I make it better? Are there some cards that would be really essential to making it work better or that are strictly better than what I have? What are your thoughts?

Here is what I have in my inventory (http://deckbox.org/sets/65787). If I need other cards, I would like to keep my budget around $10-$15 on cards to buy.

Thanks for any help or suggestions you may have!

comment left on deck page. Impressive deck. I didn't look at your inventory for suggestions. Just put down what I would do to help it out.

Thanks! I agree that I could use a more reliable mana base. I'll see what I can dig up for dual/shock lands.

As mentioned already, Rootbound Crag and at least one more Cavern of Souls should be in there.  All said, aside from maybe a little mana ramp, that deck looks pretty damn good.
