Topic: Noob in need of help - Geralf's Mindcrusher

My ? is if I have Geralf's Mindcrusher on the field w/o any +1/1, If I use a card like Ghostly Flicker that "Exile two target artifacts, creatures, and/or lands you control, then return those cards to the battlefield under your control."  Does Geralf's Mindcrusher come back on to the field with the +1/1.  Does Exile mean die?

Thanks in Advance.

No, "dying" specifically means going from the battlefield to the graveyard.  Exiling is not dying.

Re: Noob in need of help - Geralf's Mindcrusher

Exile means "leaves the battlefield" it doesn't mean "Dies".
From http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=393421: "dies" means "put into a graveyard from the battlefield"
So the creature doesn't die, it just leaves the battlefield.
The ability "When Geralf's Mindcrusher enters the battlefield, target player puts the top five cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard." is triggered again though.

This is my understanding, I'm a noob as well, been playing for like 2 months now.

Thanks all, I just wanted to make sure my thinking was correct.

"So the creature doesn't die, it just leaves the battlefield.
The ability "When Geralf's Mindcrusher enters the battlefield, target player puts the top five cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard." is triggered again though."

This was what I was planning on doing.

Furthermore you should treat it as a new card when it comes back into play.   It comes into play from exile untapped, it loses all enchants, it loses all counters all damage is erased, it gets summoning sickness again, etc... it's as if you just played it.
