Topic: [Noob] Help with getting started

Hi there,
I recently got into MTG and am planning to do a Red/Blue deck. I am all new to this so can some people give me some tips, tricks and some ideas as to how to go about setting up a good deck.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Noob] Help with getting started

I too am relatively new (stopped back in '95, picked it back up a few months ago).

I currently have a R/U deck that is Red direct damage, two Spawn of Thaxes (Thraxos?) for a finishing move, and lots of blue draw meta.

I recommend checking some of the decks other members have built and uploaded to the site. Lots of good ideas there.

Re: [Noob] Help with getting started

My suggestion would be to visit the Decks and Deckbuilding Forum and read the sticky on the fundamentals of deckbuilding.

Tons of links to good stuff out there that will really help you get the ball moving.  Also, it is important to figure out whether you want to build for competitive play or casual, as the latter is far more flexible and forgiving.
