<Recall3> Hi everyone. It's my first apparence here, so I'm not sure if I'm using this chat correctly. I want to know if Mourner's Shield (a red card was removed) could protect me against all the damage a Manabarbs would inflict to me during a single turn while tapping my lands. And if two Manabarbs are in play, so I need two Mourner's Shield?

[20:08] <Cyphern> Yes, mourner's shield can prevent the damage to you from a mana barbs. Two mana barbs will require two uses of mourner's shield (so either two different shields, or find a way to untap the one shield)

[20:09] <Cyphern> Actually, you should be able to avoid that two damage as well. Tap a land (which triggers barbs), then tap another (triggering the other barbs), then respond by using mourner's shield's ability

[20:10] <Cyphern> The shield's ability resolves first, setting up the prevention effect, and then the barb triggers will resolve afterwards, with the damage being prevented.
