Where this deck is good: Slowly grinding out the game
Where this deck is bad: Slowish, can get choked on mana


Main win conditions
    Doran, the Siege Tower (+ equipment) commander damage

    Life drain + beats (much of the deck does this)
    Exquisite Blood + (Vizkopa Guildmage / Sanguine Bond) combo
    Felidar Sovereign + life gain


Combos:
    Exquisite Blood + (Vizkopa Guildmage / Sanguine Bond) : When one trigger resolves it will cause the other to trigger, back and forth until everyone else is dead.

Synergies:
    Doran, the Siege Tower + big butts (especially Thornling) = much damage, very wow
    Doran, the Siege Tower + Fell the Mighty = Kill everything but Doran usually
    Necropotence + Sensei's Divining Top = very very powerful card selection engine
    Sensei's Divining Top + shuffle effects = also good card selection
    Sensei's Divining Top + Courser of Kruphix = basically draws extra cards
    Phyrexian Reclamation + Sakura-Tribe Elder = MOAR LAND
    Phyrexian Reclamation + Diamond Valley = Janky life gain engine
    Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth + (Crypt Ghast / Cabal Coffers) = tons of mana
    Reliquary Tower + Necropotence = my library is now my hand why not
    Crypt Ghast + (Nature's Lore / Three Visits) = fetch a Bayou for a "free" land
    Greed + (Enlightened Tutor / Vampiric Tutor / Worldly Tutor) = instant speed tutor to hand
    Chains of Mephistopheles + Necropotence = Get around Chains' downside for yourself only


Sources of card advantage:
    Necropotence
- The bee's knees in this deck. You will always have 7 cards in hand
with this, and can filter off useless cards as much as you want
    Greed / Erebos - Bad Necropotence, but still good
    Sensei's Divining Top / Sylvan Library - Card selection = card advantage in EDH. Basically Ancestral Recall every turn with shuffle effects
    Phyrexian Reclamation / Volrath's Stronghold - Gets you back whataver people felt was relevant enough to kill, which is usually a good thing
    Phyrexian Arena / Bloodgift Demon - This deck wants to grind, and has life to spare. Tend to be subpar
    Courser of Kruphix - Only pseudo card draw, but also gains life and works well with Doran


Removal:
    Swords to Plowshares / Path to Exile - cheap instant speed removal that exiles, great at breaking combos
    Mortify / Putrefy - Flexible and fast
    Beast Within / Song of the Dryads / Vindicate / Utter End - Because some times you need to be able to just make something go away
    Darksteel Mutation - Deals with annoying commanders well
    Valorous Stance - Can kill something, can save something, great with / against board wipes


Sweepers:
    Damnation - Because wrath is good and we use more black than white
    Fell the Mighty - Usually leaves your side of the board in a good state
    Wave of Reckoning - Touches very few of your creatures, but misses some other important ones
    Austere Command - Can be jiggered to give you the best outcome
    Merciless Eviction - Exiling a bunch of something usually ruins someone's day. This is good


Hate cards:
    Silklash Spider - Deck is soft to flying. This hoses flying
    Deathrite Shaman / Scavenging Ooze - Hose graveyard based decks / combos by eating anything in their yard that they target
    Blind Obedience - Slows down anything aggressive / anything that vomits their hand. Also shuts off some combos
    Chains of Mephistopheles - Because fuck blue
    Erebos, God of the Dead - Because life gain is annoying when we are trying to kill people slowly
    Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite - Destroys most token decks


General tutoring strategy:
    Get Necropotence and Crypt Ghast, these are by far the best cards in the deck
    Get hate pieces if necessary
    Get removal if necessary
    Get some CA engine / synergy piece. Usually not worth tutoring for in most situations though.
    Latish game, when most people have expended their removal grab combo pieces.
