this deck cant beat Martyr hahah... I guess I need to have Elesh Norn in the board.
sword of war and peace vs martyr? also what do you think about birthing pod in here?
war and peace is pretty bad. It deals 1 damage most of the time because they are only holding on to 1-2 Proclamations usually. Also, their life total is so high it doesnt matter. so far Elesh Norn and Linvala have been my best tech. Linvala stops Martyr from activating, and Elesh Norn is like a permanent Wrath. Buys me enough time to sneak in lethal damage before they draw O-Ring.
Hmmm after you mentioned it I thought about Birthing Pod for a long time. I think at most I could take out a Fauna Shaman and have Birthing Pod be the 4th. Its more immediate (enters battlefield instead of hand). But most of the time either I don't have it or don't want to sac a creature to tutor. For example, I'd have to sac a Fauna Shaman, Pridemage, Hawk for a Knight or Geist. Or I'd have to sac a mana dude for Hawk or Pridemage or a hatebear. And I never want to sac a Knight for Vengevine. Also, the 2 mana/1&1GP cost is kinda heavy for a tutor.

ah. the thing is it just helps u connect against lifegain decks and maybe keep your own life up. im considering kessig as a poormans version but that means splashing red. also arena with kotr is lol
im not running swords in my list cuz pridemage lol. but then birds become pretty worthless turn 4ish. thinking of splashing red for kessig
hmmm yeah. im only running swords because of its good against jund, which is apparently top tier right now. i thought about splashing red, for bloodbraid and kessig, but im trying to recur vengevines, and its really easy to do so already. also cut red splash because the only card i would really want now is bolt, since the control matchup is so good already. so i splashed blue for geist, which is just insane with hexproof, and moorland haunt, which combined with squadron hawk rapes aggro.
I based this on Caleb Durward's list. He 4-0'd a DE with it. But I took out Elspeth and Gideon and Baneslayer and added the geist. Im thinking later on i might need to cut a vengevine or geist for that baneslayer though. life can get really low sometimes. also as a single out against mono-red.
