The sideboard is included in the total deck count. Most of the sideboard cards are intended to be non-infect or alternate infect creatures to deal with different oppoenents.
Ex: One or both Dreads, Chancellor of the Dross (heavy+lifegain), alternate lifegains, Shriekmaw, Butcher of Malakir, etc.
